Happy Sunday! I got to hike a mountain today! Super special to revisit the Crazy Horse Memorial Volksmarch roughly 20 years after the last time I hiked up this beautiful living sculpture. A stunning memorial honoring the Native American land it’s constructed on. 10/10 would recommend visiting. ❤️

Tried to catch the sunrise hot air balloons two mornings in a row and cancelled each time due to wind. Womp womp. But had a nice night in yesterday with a little drinky drink in the shower and a nice soft robe while laying in bed. It’s getting a smidge chilly here… might need a man for cuddles. 😬

Delivered my 10th and likely final OB continuity earlier this morning at 2 am. Delivery went well and I think the experience was good for both myself and my patient. It’s amazing getting to be a part of something as special as bringing a life into the world. 👶 And celebratory donuts!!! 🍩

Beautiful day here called for a quick hike. Went and did a nice loop trail just outside of town. Offers beautiful scenery including a walk along a creek, rocky bluffs, a calm lake/dam, and a (somewhat spooky) tunnel… I’m not afraid of bats, you are! 😬

Another year older and turning the big “dirty 30”. Woke up with a kink in my neck, so my body is already falling apart. Had a blast hiking with friends and got to spend most of the day with them yesterday to welcome my thirties. So here’s to thirty and hopefully the start of a good decade! 😄

Have time off this week and my parents came out to visit. Got to spend some quality time with them including a little hiking. Left my heart feeling fuller. ❤️ Then right after they left got a call for a delivery. Not the ideal way to spend PTO, but love that I get to do what I do. 👶 So sleepy now 😴

Didn’t feel like getting out of bed today but ended up having a hankering to bake. Threw together a quick coffee cake with blueberries and made some bomb coffee. How’s everyone else’s Saturday starting off?

I feel like the intersection of these maps is important for understanding my living preferences. I am not the most well traveled and have lived in the Midwest my whole life. Gotta give a shout out to the "fly over" states though since I still would choose to live here all over again. 💕

Been a productive weekend of cooking/baking so far. Made some scones yesterday for the first time that turned out really tasty then made baked oatmeal this morning. Got a crock pot full of chili going and making cornbread later. 😋 Boyfriend applications are open. Please apply within. 😂

Made lemon bars for the first time and they actually turned out pretty good! 😋 Though I will say whoever decided to pair squeezing lemon juice with zesting and cutting lemons was sick and twisted (may have gotten a few cuts).
