My perfectly normally sized co-worker got prescribed one of the drugs and now no longer has chocolate out for folks that visit her office. I have my own chocolate at my desk so it's fine, but I used to bring her some once in awhile to cheer her up. She also keeps talking about being nauseated.

Just went to brunch at this place after going to Vinyasa Flow class, so I think I understand!

Long ago (2008?) I was doing that (listing things that I had to drink) and eventually trailed off, so the person jokingly asked if I had mead... we did have some mead up on a shelf somewhere but I guess were trying to save it for some occasion, so I was relieved they didn't actually want mead.

More dumb things about the modern world: 1. Can't actually call the Best Buy store in my town (one gets an AI agent and then an overseas one), 2. No tarragon at either grocery store I visited, 3. No fresh grapefruit juice, & only humongous bottles of it (I need a little as I'm baking Campari bars).

The cliche thing happened to my mother wherein she fell and was never the same. Before that she kept up her house including caring for a pet and garden, cooking, cleaning, etc. Afterward, she was dead a few months later. She was "only" 74. More research is definitely needed!

Watched the first episode of this season of Halloween Baking Championship on Food Network. Contestants had to make a cake based on their fave Halloween memory. Mine was going to a Leonard Cohen concert... so, thinking about song lyrics, I guess my cake could be a burning violin? Not sure.

Honey, pear, and goat cheese tart that I picked up for breakfast; the highlight of my day:

Dessert on a clear plastic plate, on a dark brown fake wood grain table. The dessert is a small round tart topped with "cups" of thick whipped cream that are partially filled with honey. The tart is lightly garnished with edible flowers.

The first time I heard Talking Heads' "This Must Be the Place" was as a snippet played on "Northern Exposure." I wrote "feet on the ground, head in the sky, make it up as we go along" on my Converse (I couldn't have been over 14), then probably didn't hear the rest of the song for 10 years or more.
