our local orchestra is doing a collab with the local weavers guild! (in general, they do collab pretty well) imo, local collabs like this increases townies' sense of ownership of their local orchestra.

made a little syllabus adjustment bc we had <50% attendance this morning hahahahaha.

As we all know, the 8 am class time is ~a challenge~.
New: I'm going to make a little amendment to my syllabus policy--your tardiness will be forgiven if you arrive by 8:15.
So, if you wake up late then realize, "oh well, I'm not gonna make it to class at 8:05 anyway, I might as well skip," now you can rest assured that I'll mark you as present as long as you show up by 8:15.

in smaller font: (I totes get it ok. It's a struggle for me too. I had an undergrad friend who graduated in 6 years because he kept missing 8:30 aural skills classes.
If you feel guilty, we can even hold an utterly heretical sacrament of reconciliation to formally absolve your sin. Penance would be playing scales three times.)
