From the magnificent North of England. I champion bottom-up history, I urge young people to think more critically and have realistic aspirations. No time for bulllshitters. Much time for roast lamb & mint sauce, malts, fine wines & real ales.

The whole Western world is suffering the high economic costs of Trump's domestic & international thuggery. He has joined the other world dictators swamped in corruption & personal profit. Too many US voters believed his lies 2 years ago. We beg you not to do this again.

King's funding for Andrew not to be used for legal action against police www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... How absurd is this? Does AMW have two separate piggy banks; one rattling with his own pennies and the other stuffed with big bro's handouts? OF COURSE KC3 is funding the legal action.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is taking action over search warrants issued ahead of his arrest in February.

Andrew takes legal action over search warrants before his arrest www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... The King's handout to little bro is not to be used to fund this private legal action so how can it be afforded? And if AMW is paying why does he need ANY publicly funded handout in the first place?

Potty-training scheme to expand to more parts of England after city's success. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... This is failed parenting and it beggars belief. Yet when we try to educate parents on raising their children to be healthy and socially acceptable someone will scream, "Nanny state! ... "

Chris Mason: Why Andy Burnham's about-turn on Manchester City matters
The prime minister's comments on Man City were revealing on several levels - and leapt on by many in football, the BBC's political editor writes.

Yes. There has not been one single, tangible benefit of leaving. If the Brexiteers can swallow their pride, admit they believed all the lies and stop telling people "they won, so get over it", we should rejoin asap. It is insanity that we imposed the biggest trade sanction on ourselves.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c6... RAF Fairford incident 'clearly involves' foreign actor, says US secretary of state. Clearly it doesn't Mr Rubio. If released on bail it clearly suggests there was & is no evidence of a terrorist threat. Probably no more than a protest but let the police investigate.

We have to ask ourselves, what does it matter if a person thinks they - or someone else isn't English. Factually we're an island bastardised over millennia by the influx of migrants which created England and (politically) part of the UK. Our skin pigmentation and ancestral heritage is irrelevant.

Back the Reform Party’s “don’t stop the boats” campaign: Please remember - every boat apprehended and every migrant processed is a direct threat to Nigel Farage’s political business model. So please don’t celebrate Labour’s near 50% reduction in boat crossings and 66% reduction in decision backlog.
