As I told my mother, I don't think anyone outside of LA was sad to see the Dodgers get swept. 😁

I am very tired and in this chapter, my MC is too. I can't decide if this is a case of art imitating life or life imitating art.

#FantasyIndiesSpooktober 15: Currently, the only character with tricks is Shan, a trickster god who was at least partly responsible for bringing Brian to Eos two books ago.

Okay #booksky, it's your final sneak peek before the full reveal tomorrow!!! I'll have a release day for you soon too... Which means now is the perfect time to get caught up on the other three before Season of the Witch comes out later this year. #coverreveal #urbanfantasy #almostlikemagic
Image is a book cover partial reveal. The bottom and upper right side are concealed with torn white paper. The parts of the cover showing are black with a silver filagree oval frame. Inside the visible part of the frame are the arms and head of a woman from the back. She's bathed in purple from a glowing swirl. At the top in white font is part of the title: Season of the W

Agreed! I'm going to tweak my Meta ads or look to run another promo. I'd also seen some reports from other writers, but you never know with Amazon's reporting. For me, it's my KU reads that have dropped from 10k+ a day to averaging around 5k. Orders have stayed steady, but it's a worrying trend.

#FantasyIndiesSpooktober 13: Brian doesn't have much of a sweet tooth and hasn't had any access to candy since he came to Eos anyway. But what he does enjoy is a kebab-like food item sold on the streets of Madea. Savory >>>> sweet, apparently!

#FantasyIndiesSpooktober 12: There's a lot of danger in Breaker of Bonds, which isn't too odd for my books, but this time around, a fair bit of that danger is political. Given that Brian is far from a political animal, it should be fun to watch him try not to drown in those waters.

I'm SO SO SO excited to share the first of three teasers leading to the cover reveal of the 4th book in my Almost Like Magic series: Season of the Witch! (1/2) #coverreveal #booksky
Image is a book cover reveal teaser. The upper left and all of the right side are concealed with torn paper. The lower right offers a glimpse of the cover... You see mostly black with a curling silver frame. Inside the frame is a flash of bright purple. Part of the author's name and series name are visible at the very bottom.

24. Clingan to My Capital

Are you a Portland Trail Blazers fan who also drafts and runs your make-believe squad like a tactless penny-pinching Texas-based private equity and investment firm founder who (likely) can't write his own "I'm not cheap; just smarter than you" email release without asking Grok to adopt the tone of Claude impersonating ChatGPT?
Well then, woooo buddy, do I have a fantasy team name for you!
17. Unprotected Sexton

Get your mind out of the gutter. This is an expansion-draft prediction about Collin Sexton.15. Klay It Ain’t So, Dray Will Not Go, Turn The Light Years Off, Curry Me Home

For the millennial fantasy ballers whose leagues don't have character limits and who appreciate long-winded wordplay.
Also, and this is important: Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na.11. Reflecting Poole

Not to be political, but...Jordan Poole deserves to be the No. 1 option for the New Orleans Pelicans.

Failing that, he at least shouldn't have to drink Gatorade with green or mustard-yellow algae particles in it.

#FantasyIndiesSpooktober 8: Brian has some pretty understandable worries about losing his physical or mental faculties, given his disease, but his fear of water? That one's brand new since he came to Eos. Almost drowning twice will do that to you, I guess.

#FantasyIndiesOctober 7: I've done 3rd person limited POV for one story and present tense for another, but I'm most comfortable with 1st person and past tense. I like the immediacy of 1st person, being stuck in the character's head, and delving into their unreliability as narrator.
