I actually don’t want adaptations to just storyboard out the source material. I’ve read Homer, I don’t need someone else to try and do it visually since my own mind can already do that. Show me your interpretation and put your spin on it. Much more interesting that way.

I’m working my way writing a commentary of Martial, so not a book in the same way, but I put together a lot of the bones before diving in and going poem by poem. For the intro and background I tend to do that last since I’ve inevitably learned something during the research process.
