We seek applicants who work at the intersection of Jewish Studies and Sociology with an outstanding research profile related to Jewish culture, religion, and/or politics. Candidates with expertise in the North American Jewish experience are of particular interest. Applicants should likewise hold expertise in one or more of the following sub-fields: Sociology of Religion, Historical Sociology, Political Sociology, Cultural Sociology, or Social Stratification. Strong applications will provide evidence of the ability to teach effectively in both departments at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates should also make clear their commitment to building intellectual community within and across departments and among students.
