To migrate from the previous unofficial Kick versions: 1. Fully uninstall the extension via SAMMI Core -> SAMMI Bridge -> Uninstall extension. 2. Remove or disable the old Kick deck. Make sure you are not using any old Kick buttons, as they may break, even though I tried to keep behavior the same.

Hey, guess what! Another SAMMI update is already in the works after Twitch introduced lead moderators yesterday. I just got the beta from Chrizzz to test. With Chrizzz as the only SAMMI dev, updates are now rolling out at lightning speed. ⚡

I don't think it's helpful to keep revisiting this publicly in an attempt to make everyone understand or agree. Most people never will. At some point, it's healthier to close the chapter, stop engaging with bad actors, and move forward rather than letting this continue to define everyone involved.

A lot of current/ex SAMMI devs poured enormous time and energy into the project over the years. Many of us went through extremely stressful periods, especially during the LB2 transition, including legal pressure, suicide threats from bad actors, and other serious situations most people never saw.

AI multiplies everything. If your app is bad, AI makes it 10x worse. If your app has great foundation, well designed flows and has the right guards in place with AI in mind, AI launches it forward.

It's great that new tools are being worked on, but they're not here right now. Nobody knows when, where, or even if they'll become a real replacement. What exists today is SAMMI - the tool you rely on, the tool you earn money with, and the tool that still needs support to stay alive.

If you still use SAMMI, please consider supporting its sole developer, AI debates or his PR skills aside. He's the one actively maintaining it, pushing updates, fixing bugs, and keeping everything running. He event pushed out a new update right after he took over SAMMI, fixing SAMMI crashes.

I'm not friends with Chrizzz, nor do I agree with him on everything - I've said that plenty of times already. I'm supporting his decision to lift the AI image ban for community extensions because enforcing that on everyone never made sense.

Other competitor tools don't do this. They don't ban AI usage in extensions or in community created content. That should be really up to the creator themselves, like it's always been - Chrizzz (current dev) simply reverted an earlier dev decision that never made sense in the first place.

A note was posted in the sammies channel (which regular users can't view), giving extension developers only a short two week deadline to update their existing extensions or have them pulled from all public spaces.

1. The original policy was quietly changed in March 2025 to ban AI art in extension releases and posts entirely - no public announcement was made then either.
