Hobby, they say. HA! More like a second job. More like a lifestyle. A beautiful, expensive, rewarding, heartbreaking, but absolutely amazing one. Plus, you end up learning so much about chemistry, biology, plumbing, diseases, pests, nutrition, lighting, photography and more!

Yesterday I ended up going a little off the deep end with this one. I dug through NOAA's archived Okeanos Explorer footage and put together about two minutes of this gorgeous undescribed species. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWxe...

Ideas are useless without execution. Shoulda, woulda, coulda changes nothing. Excuses do not change the result either. Everyone has ideas. Very few actually do something with them.

Heyo all reefers and saltwater fish keepers in Canada! 🐠🍁 I made an app to help track livestock available from Canadian stores that ship nationwide. stock.tilefi.sh P.S. It uses stock images, so they might not always be a perfect match.

I never thought I'd say this but… I don't miss working on SAMMI, or stream related stuff in general. There, I said it 😊 I’ve been busy building our home dashboard app, a house hunting app, and a few fish apps just for myself. And honestly… it's been way too fun!

Hey, guess what! Another SAMMI update is already in the works after Twitch introduced lead moderators yesterday. I just got the beta from Chrizzz to test. With Chrizzz as the only SAMMI dev, updates are now rolling out at lightning speed. ⚡

If you're a developer and you're not using AI now to stay relevant or get ahead, you're already behind. You can't just "start using AI" later when you have no choice. By then it's too late.

If you still use SAMMI, please consider supporting its sole developer, AI debates or his PR skills aside. He's the one actively maintaining it, pushing updates, fixing bugs, and keeping everything running. He event pushed out a new update right after he took over SAMMI, fixing SAMMI crashes.

Just my two cents on @sammi.solutions internal restructuring news: it's in great hands with Chrizzz! A new beta is already being worked on, and I'm very confident SAMMI will keep thriving - there are plenty of successful apps run with just a single developer!

Other people: why have a fish tank, it's so much work for very little reward. Me: dogs can be even more work - you walk them daily, train them, etc., my previous dog was a lot of work, too!

Some people's sense of entitlement is wild. Apparently, paying once for an app is now considered a scam. Not even a subscription - just a single payment. And yet they expect devs to work for free for years? That's pure delusion. You're the scammer, bro - not me.

Mental illness is a reason, not an excuse, for being a bad mom, friend, or a teammate. Your actions don't get erased just because you were depressed. Some people still seem to struggle with understanding that.

I miss huli huli chicken so much. My fiancé got his chef friend to study the recipe, buy a rotisserie kit, special charcoal, all the ingredients… and make the whole chicken for us. TWICE NOW. Once you go huli huli, you can’t go back.

There should be a license to own animals. You'd have to pass a knowledge test on their housing, feeding, disease identification etc. Fail, and you can't buy them.

Been super unlucky in this hobby so far. I QTed every fish I put in my tank, yet I still got ich. That means setting up another tank, catching all the fish, and going fallow for 6 weeks. So now I got 3 tanks instead of 1! Anyway, here's a cute picture of my new sand sifting goby.
