Hi #portfolioday! 👋🏽 I’m a #kidlit illustrator who loves heartfelt and fun stories and projects that bring joy to kids of all ages. Rep’d by @jemiscoe.bsky.social at @andreabrownlit.bsky.social 🎨 www.ariadelsole.com #kidlitart #illustration

Illustration of a young Black girl with curly hair lying down on a patch of grass surrounded by trees. She had one eye closed and another open and peeking at a calico kitten that is peeking out from behind her backpack.

A young Black girl astronaut floating in space while her rocket ship is on an orange planet. The girl is sprinkling hearts out into space while holding a bag that contains more.

The cover of WITH JUST ONE WING by Brenda Woods. Two hands release a northern mockingbird with one wing. There is a yellow sun behind it and flowers surrounding the hands

Every now and then I’ll do a quick study painting which I max out at an hour. Gets my creative juices flowing and brushes up my color, composition, lighting and speed skills. I found this image on IG and fell in love with it. #kidlit #kidlitart #digitalart

Sometimes I have to splash some color around to get the creative juices flowing! This is going to be the underpainting for in inspirational landscape photo I found on Instagram. More to come! #kidlit #kidlitart #childrensbookart #ampainting #digitalpainting

Not #kidlit related, but I made some #Dalgona #coffee today. Have you tried it? It’s super SUPER easy. ~2 tsp instant coffee ~2 tsp sugar ~2 tsp hot water *blend vigorously until creamy (or use a frother) *in a separate glass, pour milk over ice *pour coffee blend on top YUM!

So, I’ve started a blog! I’ve been missing the sense of community the kidlit world has always provided. The past few years have been😵‍💫 for me and I feel I’m ready to be inspired, share art from myself and others and maybe (hopefully) inspire you! Click the link in my bio to jump over and say hi!
