Rikers banned mail to inmates because of alleged fentanyl smuggling. But there was no fentanyl smuggling through the mail. They were using drug field tests with an 85 percent false positive rate. (*Illicit drugs are primarily smuggled into correctional facilities by staff.)

In case anyone is honestly wondering, yes he did community service. I saw, I was there, I bore witness (and helped out as a friend). I’m the do-gooder in Martin’s roledex who he knows will help with this kind of thing…so I went. I like doing community service.

Out of context fact: dogs and cats can be introverts or extroverts, just like people. The common assumption is that dogs are always extroverted and cats are always introverted. But not true. My late dog, Jack, was a neurotic introvert. My cat, Fredo, is a solid extrovert.

Everyone is talking about a “guilty” verdict. This was a civil case. You don’t get found “guilty” in civil cases. You can be found liable though.
