School gives us a chance to dream big about our future, but millions of children are missing out on that opportunity. The UK Government can introduce a debt justice law to stop private lenders putting profit before people. We need to put pressure on them to make it happen.

Please join us in prayer for the people of Nepal and Tibet, after devastating flash floods swept through communities along the border 🙏 We hold in our hearts all those affected, and the rescue teams working to reach communities cut off by the disaster.
Black-and-white close-up of hands clasped in prayer, with a person blurred in the background. A dark text banner reads: “Pray for Nepal and Tibet.”God of compassion, We weep with the people of Nepal and Tibet. Images of devastation tell a story of terrible loss. We cry out to you for the bereaved, for all who could not save their loved ones. We grieve for those who have seen their homes swept away. God, keep safe those waiting for rescue, renew the strength of emergency workers, and turn our shock and sorrow into action. Make us your hands and feet, reaching out and standing with our neighbours in their deep distress and urgent need. In Jesus name, Amen

Being kind? Kinda chic. Standing with people affected by poverty? Even chicer 💖
The image shows a person holding a megaphone and speaking at an outdoor event. They are wearing a bright orange coat and holding a sheet of paper. In the background, others hold signs that read, "This matter" and "DF." The text "Kinda chic to care about ending poverty" is overlaid on the image.

Kind chic trend

Please join us in prayer for the people of Colombia, after a devastating earthquake struck the country 🙏 Our thoughts are with all those affected, including those working tirelessly to save people trapped under the rubble.
A lit candle on the right illuminates a prayer titled "A prayer for the people of Colombia." It addresses God, mentioning themes of support during disasters, loss, fear, and the importance of sending help and being close to those affected. The prayer ends with the word "Amen."

When the earth trembles and homes fall to dust, hold our hearts, God.

When grief shakes families long after the world falls still, hold our hearts, God.

Our sisters and brothers in Colombia
live this now.

Where there is fear, send neighbours.

Where there is need, send us.

Be close to the buried, the searching, the bereaved.

We're not meant to carry things on our own. Galatians 6:2 says to bear one another's burdens. To share the load when someone's struggling and to let others share yours. This is embedded in our work around the world. Carrying what's heavy together, so that no one faces it alone.
Annotated Galatians 6.2 against a black background and red arrows and underlining of key words.

Whose weight might we help hold today? - bear one another's burdens.

None of us were made to carry it alone: 'another'

'the law of Christ.' - Maybe this is what love looks like when it's real

bible verse: 'Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.'

The new Prime Minister has a chance to help millions of people escape poverty. Without asking taxpayers to spend a penny more. @andyburnham.bsky.social, three choices sit on your desk: on debt, on arms sales to Israel and on who leads change in their own countries. All of them are yours to make.
A clipboard with a paper titled "Prime Minister's to-do list" lists three tasks: cancel unjust debt forcing countries into interest payments, ban arms sales to Israel and end trade with illegal settlements, and direct more support to national and community partners leading change in their own countries.

Sustain those who grieve,
Watch over those who deliver care.
We pray for the safety and health of our partners and medical staff as they treat those affected.
We pray for strength for communities and families in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda.
We pray that breakthroughs will come swiftly as new vaccines and treatments are developed.
We pray that the world would unite to take action and to support our global neighbours.
Loving God, we ask this in Jesus’ name.

Serving others is at the heart of Christian faith. Across the Bible, believers are called to love their neighbour, stand with the vulnerable and work for justice. But what does that look like in practice?
How does God’s love abide in anyone who has the world’s goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help? 1 John 3:17

Lent is so much more than just giving up chocolate. It's shaped by three practices that help turn faith into action - prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Rooted in Jesus’ teachings in Matthew 6:1-18, Lent invites us to look beyond ourselves to notice the needs of others and to grow in faith.
Three pillars. Forty days. This is Lent.Prayer
During Lent we are called to pray for those whose voices are often ignored.
