Dear Dems. This is a reminder that Donald Trump rescinded the ethics rules preventing gifts to executive branch employees. Now would be a good time to propose legislation formalizing the prevention into a law Time to do things that make him react to you. apnews.com/article/trum...

Trump has canceled Biden's ethics rules. Critics call it the opposite of 'drain the swamp'

Donald Trump took office eight years ago pledging to “drain the swamp” of the dominance of Washington influence peddlers.

I hope America is as lucky as the delta jet - everyone survives but the right wing explodes

Video obtained by CNN shows the rear landing gear of the jet buckling and the right wing shearing away in a fireball after the plane landed hard on the runway.

Jeff Bezos’ Washington Post would not run this ad. This is the power of oligarchy.

Over on the other site Elon Musk said that DOGE stopped $50M of condoms from being delivered to Gaza which Trump the repeated several times but it turns out that was the number for all contraceptive support from USAID everywhere on Earth, of which none went to Palestinians.

Started watching American Primeval on Netflix and as someone who grew up Mormon, I'm worried about the legitimacy of the portrayal of the Mormons. The show's legitimacy went out the window the moment they pronounced Abish's name. It's Ay-bish, not ah-bish! 😆

That's more than I thought for sure! Thanks for breaking that down!

I haven't looked closely at the rosters, but are there any players that survived from the 2024 preseason roster? 😅

He said Ojeda can be a goal threat? He has 2 goals in 87 appearances for us 😅. I expect they'll get a decent replacement... in July when is too late for this season.

The problem is that they are too slow with big acquisitions. I don't expect any big striker signing until July.

Seems as though this will be a completely new team from last year at this point. How many players we been through so far? 😆

Chris Farnes @christache.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

Might be decent, but hard to know as he doesn't have much top level experience.

Not a great signing, but might have potential I guess.

So grateful that his mouth ended up forcing the club to sell him for an incredible loss 🙏

The photo of the guy flipping us off is very symbolic of how we feel RSL feels about us fans right now.

So is #RSL planning to bring any players IN to the team, or are we planning on just playing the Monarchs players?

Chris Farnes @christache.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

More like other teams shifted their preseasons into high great as RSL just sat there and watched themselves get plundered...

I hope you're ready... for nothing.

Really hard to be optimistic about our chances this year..

Wait, what?! Did RSL just decide to throw in the towel this year?!

I wanted his move to work out, and thought he'd get up to speed eventually, but he never did. He was too casual for the chaotic pace of MLS imo. Good luck to him though.
