Is the spider cam controversy a bit like grey dress/blue dress? I personally don’t see anything unusual about the way the ball moves. Also - no players react. And - despite Norway head coach saying several of his staff saw it happen - no one in the dug out visibly reacts at the time.

Really enjoyed being invited onto Gareth’s excellent pod to chat Spurs 94-95: Klinsmania, Ardiles’ Famous Five, some magnificent goal-crazy games etc! Until Poch this was my favourite season and it remains right up there. I highly recommend Gareth’s entire series. Do listen if you get a chance

Just experienced the only benefit of the hydration break from a fan perspective. Because it’s not a habit for anyone yet - if you go to the bar quickly as the whistle blows you’ll get served immediately. At HT though you’d usually need to go 5mins early for that

Idea for making the World Cup play-off (now officially renamed “bronze final”) meaningful. If you win your semi, or the bronze final, you qualify automatically for the next World Cup. There should be room to allow this now that we have 48-team tournaments (perhaps expanding to 64).

Some of Tottenham’s great teams either failed to show up when it really mattered or just couldn’t get over the line. Now one of the worst teams in club’s history (results-wise at least) got the job done when it really mattered in Europa League final and v Everton but barely showed up anytime else

@geoffnorcott.bsky.social so true that tea prices are unfairly pegged to coffee. I try not to pay any more than £3 for tea in London. It’s becoming increasingly hard to do that. Good tea hack: go to McDonald’s or Greggs - both around £1.50. McD’s was 99p until about a year ago.
