Feels like we finally got an answer to how they would handle the death of Anthony Head. Apparently he was ill far longer than I realized.

I want to argue over the third act, but admittedly I never finish the movie. It really is a dull third act, isn't it? Once the pirates take over the ship, the tension is gone and it fails to reestablish a new hook. The denouement just flops, and it might be due to the Muppets themselves.

Cross cultural events are always a unique indulgence when one's familiar with the original custom. I can only imagine how surreal the evening felt.

That didn't make everyone middle class, it did help alleviate poverty. It also helped spur some inflation, not all the inflation was attributable to that, but some was. More importantly, that is not the ideal solution to our current economic problems. Corporate tax reform is.

Well in that case, not really, but we could significantly lessen the impact of poverty, we've just chosen not to.

What our current billionaire discourse always falls to acknowledge is much of their wealth is on paper, not cash. Much of the current wealth numbers people like to cite can't be redistributed as it is effectively inaccessible.

Two years ago I had a potassium wasting adrenal tumor, I effectively needed 11 potatoes worth of potassium daily to keep my potassium from heart attack levels. This is too much potassium for even that version of me.

The premise is not what you think, the movie added a subplot that didn't exist in the novel. Soylent Green was made of movie filler.

I think we should be prepared for devastation. I don't believe Dundon is a good culture fit. Fans have been upset by him, and now the local governments. I'm not sure he has reason to stay if he has the opportunity to move.

IIRC, here it would be part of the permit application process. But Oregon has added a ton of fees on things that decades ago didn't require fees to make up tax revenues. So maybe it's more uniquely Oregon.

Did that man just claim a $1.5MM house as a bargain? Does he understand the cost of upkeep and repairs on a house like that? Especially outside a major metropolitan area where craftsmen are in short supply?
