I don't really care for his game but in a league full of apathetic, spoiled adult men, it's obvious he gives a shit, that he's willing to out-everything everyone and that he ignites his teammates. He's fantastic for the association. Also, he's obviously worked his ass off on his offensive game.

But it’s clear to me that title is referencing the hybrids. They are humanity’s worst technology nightmare: unlimited technological power with autonomous sense-making abilities and super-human strength. Far more scalable damage potential than a few Xenos.

110

Chris Longshanks @chrislongshanks.bsky.social · 26/09/2025

Yeh I love that framing. There was a lot of obvious and understandable eye rolling about the final episode title, everyone assuming OK HUMANS ARE THE REAL MONSTERS.

110

Chris Longshanks @chrislongshanks.bsky.social · 26/09/2025

I understand anyone who fawns over the canon and reveres Xenos as the ultimate scary being in the dark, but I've been a fan long enough that... they're just not that scary anymore! Xenos as simple antagonists has been done a LOT and so the approach the series is taking is interesting as fuck to me.

120

Chris Longshanks @chrislongshanks.bsky.social · 26/09/2025

Fans who have been consuming graphic novel Xenos have been used to seeing/imagining them in daylight for a while; and sure they thrive in dark spaces but ultimately a creature as refined for survival as a Xeno needs to be able to operate in the light as well.

110

Chris Longshanks @chrislongshanks.bsky.social · 26/09/2025

I feel you but I also think that there's an interesting reality there - that most things that scare the shit out of us are severely reduced once a little daylight is applied. Why should Xenos be any different?

Absolute clown brain. Music is an abstraction, period. Recognizing that at a fundamental level is lost on a lot of humans. I don't want to stare at a cube all day; sometimes I want to stare at a three dimensional icosahedron and ask myself, "how does this make me feel?"
