Fascinating visit to Snowshill Manor and Gardens on the way home from Murder at the Abbey. An eccentric collection of bizarre artefacts – the manor not the writers at Murder at the Abbey – that is well worth a visit.

I also want to add what a privilege it is to be a part of the crime writing community. They really are the loveliest, most supportive people, and it was a joy to be in the same event as such brilliant writers and to appear in front of a warm and engaged audience who'd travelled from near and far.

Hard to believe that The Art of Occupation finally comes out tomorrow. This is the plaque showing de Gaulle's BBC speech calling on the French to resist the occupation. it's on Place des Pyramides, near the Joan of Arc statue, where the book begins. www.orionbooks.co.uk/titles/chris...

Plaque to Rose Valland at the Jeu de Paume, the most decorated woman in French history. It is thanks to her that so much of the French art looted by the Nazis was recovered. In The Art of Occupation, Eddie has to gain Rose's trust to find a missing collection. www.orionbooks.co.uk/.../the-art....

The Rue du Nil, where Eddie's investigation begins with the murder of a shady trader. Eddie's case will draw him into the wartime art market and the systematic looting of art – and books – by the Nazis. The Art of Occupation comes out a week today on 14th May. www.orionbooks.co.uk/.../the-art....

A quieter post for a bank holiday. One of the corners in the Jardin du Luxembourg where Eddie likes to read his book in the evening – ironically, something he can do for longer thanks to the Nazis changing the hour in Paris. The Art of Occupation - out 14th May www.orionbooks.co.uk/titles/chris...

After Eddie ran from Place des Pyramides and refused to hide in St Roch church, he came to this building on Rue de Richelieu, where someone opened the small side door to let him in. It was a much more fitting sanctuary for him. Any guesses where it is. www.orionbooks.co.uk/.../the-art....

Two weeks until The Art of Occupation is published! After Eddie flees the Joan of Arc demonstration, he refuses to find shelter in St Roch church. Others did and were arrested. Instead, he chose somewhere to hide more suited to his personality... More to follow www.orionbooks.co.uk/.../the-art....

The Art of Occupation comes out three weeks today. The story begins in this square, dominated by a statue of Joan of Arc. Eddie attends a silent protest that is met by a heavy-handed response and he's forced to run to avoid arrest by his own police. www.orionbooks.co.uk/.../the-art....

Happy PLR day! Huge thank you to everyone who has borrowed my books in their local public library, and to all the wonderful libraries and librarians who work so hard. Every time a reader borrows a book from a library, the author gets a few pence and a lovely warm glow – and they all add up!
