Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 20/08/2026I observed a Warhammer game yesterday! The shambling Zombie horde won by sheer numbers, the goblin archers shot:hit rate was hilariously low, the trolls got confused and overrun by some ghosts(?) and sixes were constantly rolled when not needed. Great fun! 111

Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 07/08/2026I played my first games of SorceryTCG with a friend today - different, fun and territorial! Fun bits: a skeleton token grabbing my legendary torch and running around the entire map with it, moving my avatar for the first time only for an eldritch abomination to instantly almost one-shot it, (1/2) 130
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 05/08/2026Helpful tip: if you start watching the new Ted Lasso S4 and get very confused by episode two due to the sudden gory images on screen, it has started autoplaying Cape Fear without telling you, it has NOT gone a new dark direction 000
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 13/07/2026I have just bought a Jude Bellingham edition "Ice" flavour Lucozade to support our boys in the footer, especially after all those goals. I immediately choked on the fluid, spraying it all over my Tomba-themed t-shirt. Damn you Jude Bellingham! 0120
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 22/06/2026It's that time of year when students get their first taste of Blender! Example robots from today's lesson. 0140
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 10/03/2026I've got a couple of students who are wonderfully obsessed with all things Sonic, and are both very skilled artists - here is their addition to the whiteboard from recently! #whiteboardwonders 010
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 10/03/2026New live action One Piece! It's incredibly entertaining. The actors do a great job, and they lean into everything very well. The silly elements are accepted, in fact embraced! 000
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 15/02/2026My daughter was making creatures out of playdoh this morning, and I joined in! Lots of fun. 010
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 10/02/2026My whiteboard always has a section for students to doodle. Today's highlight (theme: purple) is Whiss from DBZ! #whiteboardwonders 120

Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 29/10/2025I enjoyed Pokémon Legends AZ a lot! Many old favourites in there with a few new favourites, and the photo mode is great. Snapping selfies with happy music on during big emotional moments was very fun. The battle system is a huge improvement and the gameplay loop is incredibly satisfying. 020
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 11/08/2025I spent a little quiet time this evening making a couple of Pauper decks that have been on my mind for a while: Arcbound Shikari focused on modular artifact creatures, and Torgal with the simplest strategy of humans, wolves and shapeshifters all fightin' things. Very satisfying to have finished! 030

Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 18/07/2025I've got a Stardew Valley longplay on in the background this afternoon and the player just grabbed a pizza and 11pm and sprinted back to their farm to water their forgotten crops, pizza grease on their fingers and pockets full of rocks and flowers. They've matched my playstyle perfectly. 030

Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 27/04/2025I saw Flow today! It was a wonderful and moving film, the amount of character, emotion and humour the animals have was fantastic, and the two big moments - you'll know when you see them - were beautiful. The sound was phenomenal, the music powerful, and the animals each charming and believable. 000
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 24/04/2025I'm replaying New Pokémon Snap! It is a fantastic game; the N64 predecessor was excellent, and I could play this forever. One moment that genuinely chilled me - the FRILLISH! They are usually ghoulishly devoid of emotion, but the second they catch a fish and drag it down to the depths? Ecstatic! 010
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 20/04/2025I started playing Pokémon Snap again today - still amazing, I could playbit forever - and was reminded when I trended online for a bit with my very basic close shot of Wingull! I'll have to upload some of my favourites, this game was excellent for hilariously unexpected snapshots. 021
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 16/04/2025It was my birthday recently, and a friend found the perfect card! (it was filled to the brim with MtG jokes) 020
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 11/04/2025A great range of games shown in the #iiiShowcase ! A thread of my favourites, starting with Tears of Metal, an epic-scale hack and slash with fantastic art and great voice acting. The special moves do a comic book panel highlight that I love! 120
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 09/04/2025Look Outside has been my brainworm for the last few days - the artstyle is uniquely suited to expressing the madness without sending me packing. It's a fantastic game with a very particular aesthetic and mood that is a treat for me, enough horror and humour to keep me going. Strong recommendation! 040
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 09/04/2025The Final Fantasy set of #MtG is shaping up brilliantly! FF8 is looking a bit Blue at the moment, but some characters are spot on - Beatrix and Steiner are fantastic with their Equipment focus, Barret would be nothing but a Red Rebel - and you can suplex a train! Everything is just as it should be! 030
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 05/04/2025I finished Bramble in a rare spot of free time (read: very late night into the early hours) and cannot rate it highly enough. I didn’t know anything of it, went in blind and was blown away. It is a fantastic tale with terrifying set pieces and draws wonderfully, and horridly, from Nordic fairytales. 110
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 04/04/2025Bramble is an amazing game. I bought it knowing about the fairytale inspiration, but had no idea what I was getting into. My emotions are all over the place, and I am absolutely hooked! There are so many beautiful, heart warming moments, and then... other moments. 010
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 02/04/2025DK Bananza looks incredible, but the real star of the show cannot be ignored: 020
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 02/04/2025A friend was saying how low effort Flamigo is, and with this card I am not surprised he came to that conclusion! The identity of flamigo and the ideas behind it are great, as far as I can tell it's a backup dancer/stunt double, copying a partner's stats changes on entry with its passive Co-Star. 000
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 31/03/2025Slice and Dice is a very fun, and very variable game! This is one of the fighty guys, who hits things. That's his approach - consistent hitting. But what if you told him this wand was hitting, even if it actually boosted his allies instead? And what if a polearm magically duplicated that boost? 120
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 30/03/2025Another excellent Magic video from Spice, liberally sprinkled with my favourite type of takes. As per usual, a new card I've never heard of popped up - these Advocates are brand new to me! 120
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 30/03/2025I bought some amazing rolls - St. Pierres Brioche Burger Buns - and this is the last morsel of the last bun. Highly recommended... but it is a bit like eating cake. Lots of cheese and meat helps the balance! 010

I was invited by some friends to try #SilverBayonet and had a whale of a time - we had to find the Eye of Anubis whilst peppering each other with muskets, and it wasn't long before the ancient temple guardians joined in too! 130

Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 02/03/2025I am still determined to be a Bug Catcher - a SUCCESSFUL Bug Catcher - on Pokémon Pocket! Getting this guy out and taking down the meta EX decks (with support from Shaymin and Butterfree as healers) is a challenge, but I enjoy it. 110
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 26/02/2025Wonderful! Everything that was sweet and satisfying about Advance Wars but with a great board game aesthetic and DICE CLASHES! 020
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 01/02/2025I beat Ring of Pain last night! A great experience, very creepy aesthetic with just the right amount of loss and dread. The cryptic dialogue is spot on, giving enough without giving it all away. Highly recommend - and it's a roguelike card dungeon! Perfect. 010
Chris Kettle-Frisby @chriskettlefrisby.bsky.social · 05/01/2025This is an excellent collection of recommendations! I have fallen out with films for the past 10 years or so - this has given me the impetus to dive back in. I didn't realise that there was a YouTube indie film scene at all, but I really should not have been so surprised. Thank you Joshua! 111
