We played the historic Camp Springs Bluegrass Festival in North Carolina this weekend. A documentary was made about this event in 1971, and my SiriusXM Truegrass show will feature artists who played the festival in ‘71. The next airing of the show is tomorrow (Sunday) at 6:00PM Eastern

I just had a good conversation with Senator McConnell for about 20 minutes. He congratulated me on the release of the new album Chalk Lines & Dust on July 24. He said he wished he could be there at the Frankfort (Illinois) Bluegrass Festival this weekend to get an advance copy. He sounded great.

The fuel price and general inflation spike of 2022 was due primarily to post-pandemic supply chain issues, and was a worldwide problem. This spike is bigger, is also worldwide, but it was voluntarily inflicted by the U.S. government. That’s a pretty important difference.
