For his years of reporting on Scientology's abusive practices and advocating for victims of Scientology, my friend @yashar has become a significant target of harassment and retaliation by Scientology's intelligence department, The Office of Special Affairs (OSA).
Yashar is one of the few reporters ever to take the time to learn what Scientology truly is, from its many policies and procedures to its unique language, and how OSA operates.
Until you become a target of Scientology - as I have, along with other survivors, whistleblowers, and even those who were never Scientologists - you don't understand how intricate, sinister, and evil these operations are.
They have tried to destroy Yashar (and others) and will continue to try to destroy him. A vast majority of what Scientology has done and tried to do to Yashar isn't visible to the public and doesn't even have Scientology's name attached to it. And he has not shared much of what they've done with his friends.
There is no part of his life — or the lives of anyone labeled an enemy - that they have not tried to invade, undermine, and "obliterate," as stated in OSA network orders.
Yashar was never a Scientologist, but he takes these hits, which have turned his life upside down, because he cares about exposing Scientology's abuses. I hope he, and the few non-Scientologists like him, don't have to keep doing this on their own for much longer.
There is no point in calling the LAPD or other law enforcement agencies; they are in Scientology's pocket. There is simply no recourse for those who don't have a significant retainer to hire an attorney to make this stop. We have the IRS to thank for allowing Scientology to act with impunity, using tax-exempt money to destroy people's lives.
For those with the power and resources to do something, please stand up and help us end this reign of terror.
