Being a space nerd it was especially cool to meet Ken Ham, Commander of the Space Shuttle Atlantis on mission STS-132 which I saw launch as a guest of NASA in 2010. Also to meet Steve Swanson, another legend who spent over 195 days in space and completed 5 space walks.

Home after 7 days in two hospitals leading to a 2 hour angiogram and a stent fitted into a 90% blocked coronary artery at Royal Papworth Hospital. Not the start to December I expected!

Procedure completed yesterday at Papworth Hospital, 2 hours later, bypasses checked and 1 stent installed in another narrowed artery. Time to recover and rest for a while! Hoping to head home later today and finish recovery at home.

Story of my last few days, back in hospital with cardiac issues. More investigation needed and they won't letting home until I've been seen at Papworth and had another angiogram as im still getting chest pains. Pretty fed up tbh, thought I'd dealt with this 8 years ago!

Eight years ago, outside the old Papworth Hospital just released with my new Ironman heart! The end of 13 days spent in two different hospitals that started with being rushed to the Coronary Care Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital then taken four days later to Papworth Hospital for heart surgery.

Father's day is tough as I watch others spending time with their fathers. I lost all my father figures leaving just memories. The black and white photo is my stepdad aged 17, my dad for 36 years. Ugh, I may be dealing with some sort of cortisteroid withdrawal as I'm tapering down my dose of prednisolone. Feeling pretty darn rough hence awake at 3am. Body wide muscle aches, gastric issues, head pressure... sucks.
