Vegans - have those difficult conversations. Most #vegans said they thought sharing great #veganfood was among the most effective ways to convince people -- but most success in convincing others had come from *direct conversations!* Almost 40% of vegans had convinced someone this way!! 🤯

Moving people from animal products to alternatives needs: 1. Push factors (reasons not to eat animals) 🐷 2. Pull factors (reasons to eat something else) 🌱 3. Good choice architecture (integrated menus, majority veg menus, veg defaults, etc.) 💡

Using integrated menus can DOUBLE selection of #meat-free options! Just 6% chose #vegetarian options when they were in a segregated 'vegetarian' section of the menu - that jumped to 13% when they were positioned alongside the rest of the menu!

It's a common misconception that activists should avoid giving people cognitive dissonance. On the contrary, we have to keep pressing the dissonance until it is resolved - don't let them avoid the issue!
