Mad Monster Mansion for sure. The Final Fantasy VII Overworld theme and One-Winged Angel are both songs I associate with the season as well, even if they aren't strictly Halloween songs.

I don't think you give yourself enough credit. Just because you remember it doesn't give that person any hold over you.

It's not the time, but the distance traveled. If it seems distant to you then that means you've moved on from it. That's good.

How do I fight my child's new no phone in school policy? Until gun laws are stricter, I do not want my child to not have their phone on them, especially since they did have a potential shooter at school just this school year. I refuse to follow it, what are my rights as a parent?

I need more Doctor Who mutuals.

021

Chris Bottger @chrisbottger.bsky.social · 31/05/2025

I'm more confused about Belinda. Is the Doctor staying in the universe with Poppy existing? What about The Belinda (and Ruby) on the Unit Tower? They trusted The Doctor to come back with Poppy (or at least news of Poppy's survival.)

000

Chris Bottger @chrisbottger.bsky.social · 31/05/2025

Also the line about eveyone being The Doctor's child was awful. It really should have been left out but if they HAD to have someone say it then it shouldn't have been Kate. Why not Rose or Mel?

000

Chris Bottger @chrisbottger.bsky.social · 31/05/2025

Honestly the one character who didn't feel butchered was Ruby.

100

Chris Bottger @chrisbottger.bsky.social · 31/05/2025

Also literally no closue on Susan, Rouge, etc. whatsoever.

100

Chris Bottger @chrisbottger.bsky.social · 31/05/2025

Also if you are gonna have Jodie Whittaker in an episode actually make her a full part of it. Don't just tack her on to try to give your last minute regeneration some chrap "emotional" points. Also what universe is The Doctor even in now?

110

Chris Bottger @chrisbottger.bsky.social · 31/05/2025

Belinda's whole character was basically erased and her whole personality has just been replace with "is a mother." That was true even before the episode went way off the rails. Omega was wasted twice somehow. The stunt casting RTD self fanserivce regeneration sucked.

120

Chris Bottger @chrisbottger.bsky.social · 31/05/2025

(Spoilers obviously)I'm not even usually a hater but yeah that new episode of Doctor Who was really bad. I guess the tabloid were right. It starts off pretty normal (albeit not great) but then after the first ending it went off the rails and became a farce.

130

Chris Bottger @chrisbottger.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

What even is hundred line? I keep hearing matt talk about it.

100

Chris Bottger @chrisbottger.bsky.social · 26/05/2025

(Unless Rouge really is in the same underworld with Omega but I don't think that's a good idea really.)

000

Chris Bottger @chrisbottger.bsky.social · 26/05/2025

I thought the cameo worked really well in that way, even if they could have made it more clear that it wasn't the real Rouge. Hopefully we'll see this lead to The Doctor being even more determined to find Rouge next season.

100

Chris Bottger @chrisbottger.bsky.social · 26/05/2025

Even though Rouge only points out the table thing, and says nothing sexual repression, I still think that The Doctor's subconscious manifesting that way is connected to the repression he feels in Conrad's conservative world. (Cont.)

100

Chris Bottger @chrisbottger.bsky.social · 26/05/2025

I also think the fact it was Rouge of all people is part of the episode's secondary message on LGBTQ+ repression. One of the things that made The Doctor doubt Conrad's world (and by extension his heteronormative life in it) was when Col. Ibrahim was homophobic to him. (Cont.)
