If you're considering a local school, contact the office to arrange a visit or apply. Thank you to everyone at Inkberrow for the warm welcome. Every child deserves a brilliant education and we're lucky to have it in Redditch and the Villages.

Great to return to Inkberrow Primary School to meet staff, pupils and governors. Rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, it delivers an exceptional education across Inkberrow and our surrounding villages. Reception places are available for next year and in-year admissions are welcome.

If bosses don’t improve, removing the royal charter must be on the table. Enough excuses, it’s time for action. Our community deserves a reliable, dependable postal service!

Fines haven’t worked - three years running, with a fourth investigation now underway. From missed hospital appointments to late bill fees, residents across Redditch and the Villages are being let down by systemic delays. Ofcom must stop tolerating excuses and enforce tougher oversight.

I’ve joined over 100 Labour MPs in writing to Ofcom and the Business Secretary demanding action on Royal Mail’s repeated failure to meet delivery targets. Postal workers know the problems, but their concerns are ignored by senior management. www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...

Royal Mail blasted for missing delivery targets as Ofcom urged to act
EXCLUSIVE: MPs accused Royal Mail of not taking the delays seriously, leaving the public missing hospital appointments, court dates, or having late fees added to bills that simply didn’t come

Petition: Fund NHS access to Omaveloxolone for patients with Friedreich's Ataxia

I’m supporting a constituent whose husband wants nothing more than to see his children grow up. With their second child on the way, every day matters. Without access, his condition will continue to progress.

I’ve written to the Prime Minister and Health Secretary urging urgent NHS access to Omaveloxolone (Omav) for people living with Friedreich’s Ataxia. This progressive, cruel, degenerative disease severely limits life expectancy, but Omav (already MHRA approved) can slow its progression.

Mental health must have parity with physical health. I’ve asked the ICB four direct questions on whether Redditch is being considered and I’ll keep fighting until our town gets the care it needs.

Chris Bloore MP @chrisbloore.bsky.social · 09/09/2026
With 17% of residents facing common mental health disorders (the highest in Worcestershire) and youth referrals doubling, forcing people to travel or rely on A&E is unacceptable. We need walk-in, dignified support and Redditch deserves its fair share of the Government’s £343 million investment.

Chris Bloore MP @chrisbloore.bsky.social · 09/09/2026
I’ve written to the Chief Executive of the Integrated Care Board, demanding Redditch be chosen for a new community mental health centre or crisis emergency department.

My amendment simply asks Ministers to set out clear timescales and milestones, so patients, the NHS and Parliament can see how we get there. We must move from commitment to delivery to give our NHS and patients the care they deserve.

Chris Bloore MP @chrisbloore.bsky.social · 07/09/2026
Working with Dr Caroline Johnson MP and the @royalosteosoc.bsky.social, this amendment requires the Government to publish a clear, milestone-driven delivery plan for universal FLS coverage by 2030. Universal FLS could save 2,000 lives a year. Neither of our constituencies currently has an FLS.

That’s not acceptable. Vulnerable residents must have access to drinking water during incidents like this. I’ve demanded clear assurances on full network restoration, support provided to vulnerable customers and long-term investment in our local water infrastructure to prevent this happening again

Chris Bloore MP @chrisbloore.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
While I thank the staff and contractors who worked through the night to restore supplies, it is completely unacceptable that vulnerable residents on the Priority Services Register were told they wouldn't get bottled water because staff were focused on the leak.

Forcing residents to travel elsewhere or go to a busy A&E during a crisis is unacceptable. The Government's £343m overhaul offers funding for walk-in hubs and crisis units.
141
Chris Bloore MP @chrisbloore.bsky.social · 01/09/2026
Redditch deserves dedicated mental health care right on our doorstep. Our town has no dedicated walk-in mental health facility and the highest prevalence of common mental health disorders in Worcestershire, with youth referrals more than doubled in five years.

If you need extra support, sign up for the Priority Services Register at: www.stwater.co.uk/help-and-con... or phone: 02477 716 585 I'll keep pressing Severn Trent for answers, a clear repair timeline and investment in Redditch's water infrastructure.

Severn Trent is providing bottled water and re-routing supplies and setting up water stations, particularly for vulnerable residents. If you're on the Priority Services Register, you'll automatically get water delivered after 6 hours; if not, after 12 hours.

UPDATE: 27 August, 5pm There's still no clear end in sight to the Severn Trent problems affecting Redditch. While supplies have returned for many, some residents remain without water, have low pressure or discoloured supply.

However, I’m still receiving reports of outages in Winyates and discoloured water elsewhere. Teams remain on site investigating. I understand the real impact this is having, from new mums to elderly and unwell residents.

I remain in regular contact with Severn Trent following last night’s major mains burst, which caused severe outages, low pressure and discoloured water across Redditch. Crews worked through the night, supported by tankers, restoring supply to most customers within three hours.

The cadets had the chance to explore Westminster, learn how Parliament works and I led a tour through Westminster Hall, gave them a look at how laws are debated and passed in the House of Commons and answered their questions about my role as their MP and how decisions in affect young people locally.

Time restrictions will be lifted across England, backed by £60 million in funding, giving disabled people free bus travel, any time, every day. Here in Worcestershire, that’s around 4,485 disabled pass holders who’ll benefit.
120
Chris Bloore MP @chrisbloore.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Great news for disabled people in Redditch and the Villages! Right now, on weekdays disabled bus passes only work between 9:30am and 11pm. From April 2027, this Government is ending that.

Chris Bloore MP @chrisbloore.bsky.social · 15/08/2026
Whether you’re heading into Redditch town centre, visiting local parks or exploring across Worcestershire, make the most of free travel for under-16s and get out and explore with the family!

Chris Bloore MP @chrisbloore.bsky.social · 15/08/2026
With child fares normally £1–£2, this is real money back in parents’ pockets during the school holidays. Plus, adult single fares remain capped at £2!
140
Chris Bloore MP @chrisbloore.bsky.social · 15/08/2026
All through August, children aged 5–15 can travel for FREE on local buses across England as part of the Great British Summer Savings scheme. With the cost of living still putting pressure on family budgets, this is a welcome boost, helping families get out and about for less.

I welcome these new measures and will keep pushing to bring proper local businesses and pride back to Redditch and the Villages.

Plus, police and councils get doubled powers (up to 12 months) to shut down rogue shops linked to crime. Our high streets should be places where people shop, work and spend time.
160
Chris Bloore MP @chrisbloore.bsky.social · 14/08/2026
High streets have watched vape shops, adult gaming centres and rogue businesses replace the services communities rely on. New planning rules mean vape shops and gaming venues will need planning permission before opening, giving councils powers to block them near schools.

Chris Bloore MP @chrisbloore.bsky.social · 12/08/2026
With Herefordshire & Worcestershire NHS Trust in the first wave, I’m fighting hard to ensure Redditch and the Villages get our fair share with a local hub close to home. Mental health deserves urgency, dignity and care.

Chris Bloore MP @chrisbloore.bsky.social · 12/08/2026
That’s why I welcome this Government’s £343m investment in up to 159 new NHS mental health facilities, including 100 walk-in community hubs offering same-day support without a GP referral.
130
Chris Bloore MP @chrisbloore.bsky.social · 12/08/2026
Mental health care shouldn’t be a postcode lottery or force people to wait months only to end up in A&E at crisis point.
