I couldn't help it, had to check out the 2nd episode after thoroughly enjoying the first.

Has anyone heard of this game, "Wake Up Giants?" I don't know how I came into possession of it.

I also found a true classic; my dad would collect these back in the 80s as he just liked early computer geek things

Today's dip into cleaning the basement has neted me two 3x3 Eyes anime/manga pencil boards!

Classic anime is on the menu, boys! (I don't get review sets from AnimEigo, so I nabbed this one myself. Miyu was one of my first legit purchase back in the early 90s on VHS, LD, and DVD, so a Blu-ray is a necessity)

A picture of the Blu-ray case for the Vampire Princess Miyu anime next to the shrinkwrapped slipcover that was able to be added in at last minute.

I finished my no-name brand candle yesterday. Now my office has sweet peony going on. The big ass candle I’ve had in a box with a bunch of other candles for years. And I’m intent on using my candles this fall in winter.

Oooh I found my death watch. That was a late 90s purchase I think .

Cooking for one sucks. Especially when it comes to pasta. I always end up making too much. It’s now I spend a little extra and just get premade meals for that from Market Basket.

So, having made progress in a lot of the house, I'm turning to the basement a bit more now that it has proper lighting. Every day I have to at least *move* something around and take stock of it. Today was discovering a sink tub filled with MICE! (apologies to @sonicbug.bsky.social for the dust)

Name! That! Anime! Because it's at the tip of my tongue but I can't remember the name.

holy shit am I stoked. I took all these down yesterday, most don't work as far as I can tell, and put them up on a FB buy-nothing group. They were all taken today, elder gent who does electrical work will figure out how to revive them. So glad they're not going for scrap.

Been putting on a bunch of hentai in the background this morning to clear a queue and the latest is the classic Story of Little Monica. I continue to wish that the hentai chapters I like would get animated, but that's not what the anime crowd wants, apparently.

Another fun project this morning was finding my grandmother's ceramic christmas tree. It's been in the basement for years, but cleaned up well, and the main bulb still works. Just gotta get replacement tree lights.

Chris Beveridge @chrisbeveridge.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

And ceiling fixtures removed. Looks like the bulbs can go to the transfer station; just gotta find out where it's special location is because they're filled with mercury and other hazardous materials. But it's good that they can be dealt with.

oh now here's some real ADHD shame. I bought this Belldandy anime garaga kit back in the 90s. It's stil sealed in its package, has the instructions, and the eye stickers. The box is hella dusty as it's moved from basement to basement for almost 30 years.

Time slaps you upside the head. I have old episodes of Whose Line running in the background today from the first season in 1999. And they have a woman come up for Wayne to sing to. She's 19 in this. That was 27 years ago.

I won't say I "powered" through the final three episodes I had last night, but with it getting an expected S2 pickup, and strong ratings, I wanted to finish it out. Again, no fan of the cult storyline, and I admittedly skimmed it. But I like the core cast and where it all can go.

okay, yeah, @hidive.com has scored what could be my favorite show of the season with I'm Dating a Dark Summoner. it feels like such a wonderfully pervy throwback to 90s smutty fantasy TV shows but amped up for today.

I've had this hanging in my office for like a decade now in one place with Command strips. It only just finally lost its glue this morning and dropped down from the wall to this small bookcase. Still one of the best things I got from folks at ADV Films since I had so much fun with this show.
