There's a bit of uncanny valley with the fluid animation of these guard models and how they're rendered more smoothly than others I've seen that use this effect to give the illusion of being a 3D model.

Swooping along the hyperspace psi-ways: PSYBORG from French developer Loriciel in 1992 (Atari ST version) While it follows in the footsteps of race-to-the-finish-and-avoid-obstacles Trailblazer and Cosmic Causeway, it was Sky Roads and Rollcage that came to mind the most while trying this out.

Slightly improved my Phantasy Star III Darkforce Theme recreation that I did 7 years ago. Even received Izuho Numata's approval :D Made in Deflemask via YM2151 Arcade chip instead of YM2612 Mega Drive. Starts off like the original then goes into arranged when looping. Was very happy with this one!
