every video game needs an option that auto advances spoken dialogue and not text. and a setting to adjust how quickly after dialogue ends it progresses to the next line. some games genuinely have their pacing ruined because every line has a full two second pause before the next one

the ads being run before videos are often just other youtube videos. as in, it just plays the trailer that they uploaded to youtube. this works to their benefit even more because every view on that ad counts as a view on the video, inflating their numbers massively.
