The final battle is won, and Ashe and Byleth ride off happily into the sunset 🥹 The last AM run I’ll play before the new game is now complete! 💙

FE3H Azure Moon ending card for f!Byleth (Guardian of Order) and Ashe (Arrow of Justice).

When Byleth became the new archbishop of the Church of Seiros, Ashe served her faithfully—first as a knight and aide, and later as a husband. With help from Faerghus, the archbishop put much toward the rebuilding effort with particular attention paid to relief for orphans in the form of food, beds, and even schooling. It is said that these compassionate deeds were all Ashe's suggestions, but the modest knight always gave the credit to his beloved wife.

The battles at the end of AM are all hard but for some reason Fort Merceus is the one that sticks in my mind as being one of the most painful 🥲 Good thing Ashe was my little sniper and took out a lot of hard-hitting enemies 🏹

Yesss love how there’s bylitza in every route!!!

Dimitri: So, Professor… In the past, it seemed like the Death Knight took some strange satisfaction from his fights with you.

Death Knight:Will death’s scythe claim you… Or will I fall to that sword of yours…

Lmao I love how Judith obeys Claude’s order not to call him “boy” and just calls him “Leader Man“ instead 😂

Claude: And for the last time, stop calling me “boy”! That’s an official order from the leader of the Alliance.

Judith: Understood, Leader Man. I wonder if our little ray of hope will show up…

Oof these quotes hurt because that’s exactly what happens to the Blue Lions in the other routes 🥲

Felix: If we keep running down this path, it’s only a matter of time before the ground beneath us collapses.

Felix: If we lose, we’ll have died for you. I hope you know that.

120

choco (semi-hiatus, playing fefw) @chocomdwrites.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

In fact, Ashe’s supports with Gilbert are some of my favorite ones for him. This dialogue about Lonato comes right before and gets me every time 🥺

Gilbert: Yet, perhaps he too lost sight of what should be protected. Just as I did.

Ashe: I don’t understand what you mean. What should Lonato have protected?

Gilbert: You, Ashe. Because you are also his son.

120

choco (semi-hiatus, playing fefw) @chocomdwrites.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

SPEAKING OF…I love how Ashe comes to this conclusion in his B support with Gilbert 🥺

Ashe: I think I know what I need to protect now.

Ashe: I’m Lonato’s son. His pride and his wishes are my inheritance. Those are what I should protect.

130

choco (semi-hiatus, playing fefw) @chocomdwrites.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

The Ailell reference 😭 I will always be obsessed with the way Ashe gets entangled with his loyalties to Lonato and Western Faerghus vs the Kingdom as a whole. AND him saying that coming to the Blue Lions’ 5 year “reunion” was what saved him from fighting against them as part of Rowe’s army 😭😭😭

Ashe: If I hadn’t come to Garreg Mach, I might have ended up as your enemy at Ailell.

Ashe: I don’t think I would have been able to handle facing all of you in battle.

130

choco (semi-hiatus, playing fefw) @chocomdwrites.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

The other routes have their own reasons for why Byleth joining them makes a difference, but in AM the Blue Lions need Byleth’s leadership in a way that’s almost visceral

Alois: The Kingdom doesn’t seem to have clear goals holding them together. Different people have different priorities.

Alois: The situation right now is difficult. But at times like this, you have the opportunity to really shine, eh Professor?

230

choco (semi-hiatus, playing fefw) @chocomdwrites.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

Ugh felileth is SO good!! They’re on the same wavelength, and he specifically asks her to “do something“ about the boar. his other tea time quotes are “Are you training later? I want to show you something” and “I dislike eye contact, even when it’s you”

Felix: A swordsman treasures his hands. You know that already, I’m sure.

120

choco (semi-hiatus, playing fefw) @chocomdwrites.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

I will never get tired of this concept. Rhea viewing the sole purpose of Byleth’s existence as being the vessel for Sothis, where one day Byleth will lose all sense of identity as Sothis takes over her body. This isn’t how it plays out since Byleth was born and not created (unexpected complication)

Rhea: In a sense. Our dear Professor is…a vessel. One who carries the power of the progenitor god within.

Rhea: in time, the vessel will become one with the power contained within, and the progenitor god shall return to this world.

Oh I love how what Felix says here (just before Remire) foreshadows how pre-Gronder Dimitri says about getting used to killing familiar faces

Felix: Just kill them from behind. As long as you don’t see their faces, you won’t know if you know them.

150

choco (semi-hiatus, playing fefw) @chocomdwrites.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

Ashe talking to Byleth about imposters posing as Monica and Tomas. This is right after Jeralt’s death - instead of comforting Byleth outright, Ashe sympathizes with her in being deceived by TWSITD, as Lonato (and probably Christophe) once was

Ashe: We can’t be sure who to trust anymore, can we?

Ashe: who are these people, really? What do they want?

120

choco (semi-hiatus, playing fefw) @chocomdwrites.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

Why did Dagda have a Hero’s Relic? Why indeed?

Duke Gerth: It’s a priceless treasure that ended up in Dagda. After the truce, they sent it to us in friendship.

And then Dimitri tries to make her his backup if he doesn’t show lol (because he plans to be deep into seeking revenge and probably die trying 🥲)

Dimitri: Of course…if something happens and I’m not able to attend, I’m leaving all of the logistics of organizing this reunion to you, Professor.

140

choco (semi-hiatus, playing fefw) @chocomdwrites.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

I can’t remember what the other house leaders say about the Millennium festival, but “you’re the heart of the Blue Lion house” is so heartwarming 🥺 Byleth feels so integrated into the BL house which dovetails nicely into how post-TS plays out 🥹

Dimitri: I’d love for you to be there as well, Professor. After all, you’re the heart of the Blue Lion house.

Ashe: You carry the weight of the whole Kingdom on your shoulders. You’re a faultless warrior, and you’re always so kind to your allies. Even me.

One of my favorite supports is with Yuri and Byleth because we get a window into sharp edges and ruthlessness I’d like to see more of

Yuri: Just so we’re clear, you mess with any of my people, I’ll slit your throat without hesitation. Got that?

3132

161

choco (semi-hiatus, playing fefw) @chocomdwrites.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

I love that “Pull yourself together“ is the practical response that works the best for Ashe for pulling him out of his ruminations. It’s Byleth’s understated way of comforting him by helping him focus on what he CAN do and the fact that people are still depending on him.

Ashe: I can’t stop thinking about Lonato.

Ashe: I'm sorry, Professor. I know this isn’t the time, but… I just can’t get past it.

Byleth’s dialogue responses:
There’s nothing to be done.
Pull yourself together (highlighted)

Ashe (support up): Thank you. No matter what happens, I promise you I’ll do my part.
