Caught the new Resident Evil recently and I have to say I was incredibly impressed. Not only one of the best video game movies ever made, but one of the best horror flicks of year. Tense, funny, with some great gore. Highly recommended.

Okay, I avoided this for a long time because I bounced of WOUNDS (yes, I know, I'm in the minority), but I thought this was an incredible collection. Loved the way each story could stand on its own without the supernatural elements. Highly recommended.

I was never a big Lovecraft fan, but I remember these covers so well from local bookstores. Still some of my favorite cosmic horror art. Really captures the dreamy, absurd menace. Many years later, I've finally put Michael Whelan's name to the work! Any other fav pieces?

I have to admit that I've been a hater of Event Horizon for a long time, but I recently rewatched it and found a lot more to enjoy than I did initially. Maybe the trick was to watch it as a great B-Movie rather than a stumbling Horror Classic? Either way, I'm with you now.
