"Accidental Euphoria" The weird part about this weird sickness was that my doctor wasn't confident what it was, but brushed it off since I was fine in the follow up visit. #trans #lgbt #transart #art

"I'm Still Me" I've made three comics about my name. It's fascinating, and really I believe I'm fixated on it because it's my name, and what that means to me. I constantly think about it, and get really excited when I hear it spoken. Names are just interesting #trans #transgender #transart #lgbt

The page opens with a gemstone being held in my name, "Chloe," being carved into it. It then zooms out to show a large mountain with a flag at the top, and me quite a ways from it. I begin to walk up the mountain, and the last panel is two wired objects not connected, though they can be. Text reads: " "Chloe" has been my name for two years now. For me, it's proof. A step on my climb that I have moved past. I'm far from the top, but this is one step ahead. One hurdle climbed, one less to do. Though, truth be told, there is a disconnect in my mind with my name."

Page two starts with me, boymodong, talking to someone. I say, "Alright, ill see you later." The person then responds, "Okay, see you later [blank]." Next page has me awkwardly smile and real me swears something angrily. Text reads: "Maybe it's because I don't get called, "Chloe," in real life very often." Urgent Commission Call to get out of home Felt a bit weird making this, but outside of work and the pension, this is one of the only ways I can think of to get more income. Of course I don’t expect to get enough from commissions alone, but I hope it’ll be an extra push. Link to Ko-Fi page below -

I’ve mentioned in some of my comics that I live in a religious, specifically Jehovah’s Witness, household, with parents and family who are transphobic and homophobic.
The more out I am, the more I’ve put my foot down on who I am a queer trans guy, the more pushback I’ve gotten from my parents and family.

Sometimes it’s days back to back having to prove my identity and explain the LGBT community, with every word being picked at and twisted. Making it exhausting to even try to explain myself, let alone be myself.

Then there’s the religious side of things. I don’t go to the JW meetings anymore, I’m very admant that I don’t believe in it. But my life is still surrounded by the religion, because it’s connected in every aspect of my family.

Because of the JW’s stance on the LGBT, my parents and family most likely will never accept me as who I am.
I had to put off taking testosterone because when my parents found out, they became convinced I was making the wrong choice, that I was going to regret it, that I’m going to harm my body permanently.
Treating my identity like a mental illness adjacent to depression or an eating disorder.

“Why can’t you just be a tomboy?”
“We shouldn’t have to deal with pronouns constantly pushed on us”
What if the hormones make you infertile?”
“I feel sick everytime I have to use the name Darcy for you”
“You shouldn’t take hormones just because your mental health is bad right now.”
“I heard about this detransitioner…”
“I’d rather you never take testosterone”
“We know you best!”
“I’m going to do everything in my power to stop you from getting testosterone”

"Safe or Free" Doing manga styled comics is so fun, and it really is so much faster than doing it over my old stuff. This was started and ended in 3 days, which frankly, could've been 2 if I neglected sleep. I won't stop colored comics, but this feels right. #transgender #trans #comic #lgbt

"How a Light Works" Little dnd comic featuring Pax (played by bsky.app/profile/lamb...) and Amira (played by bsky.app/profile/komo...). I'm going to do more of these styled comics in the future, they're fun (the dots give me a headache after 2 hours of working with them). Our dm is not on bsky.

First page, featuring three dnd characters. They are looking for clues. The first one, Pax, a bard, goes to a child, saying, "Hey kid!" The child promptly runs away, leaving Pax stunned. They say, "What was that!?" Amira, a paladin, says, "Hmm, that's odd. He was clearly scared, should we go after?" Pax responds, "Hmm, yeah I guess. But that was fast. How do we find him?"

Second page, Kari, an artificer, raises her hand and says, "Um, I might have something to help." Amira then replies, "Oh? What is it? Well don't leave us hanging." Kari proceeds to grab a lantern off of her side and says, "It's my lantern. It can show me things." Both Pax and Amira stare at Kari for a moment before both replying, "Yeah that's how a light works."

Third page, cue a wind draft as Kari stares back. Then, flustered, she responds, "Nit like that!" Kari then proceeds to show the both Pax and Amira that her lantern is magic.

I spent ~10 hours today building my first gunpla kit. It was really fun! It made for a good tech break, I left my phone across the room and nothing on my TV. I got into Gundam with Witch, and have since watched GQX (no UC yet) and IBO, it's one of the best series I have ever consumed. Watch it :D

"Feelings of Acceptance" I showed this comic to an unmentioned friend of mine, and he described it perfectly. When it's cis people, your name comes off as a rule to them, but when it's other, fellow trans people, they understand the meaning behind it. #trans #comic #lgbt #transgender
