I hate it. The default assumption seems to be providing a third-level definition and encyclopedia entry. If I search for “wooden spoon,” the non-AI search pops up the lovely bakery near my house, and then links to buy wooden spoons. AI fills the screen with this:

Matt Taibbi can keep on digging into this and whatever other work he is doing for MAGA. There are always advocates on every side and that’s useful. But anyone who suggests this story dwarfs the scandal of imprisoning people out of reach without charge, trial or conviction (as one! example)…

This corruption in this story dwarfs the worst Trump scandals. It's unprecedented. It's now in writing that the whole Trump-Russia thing was invented.
But feel free to think it's still a Fox fantasy.

Look at this part. To the Vaught supporters, this is evidence that qualified applicants are looking elsewhere because Wheaton has “gone adrift” and “capitulated to the spirit of our age”, which to them means progressive views. Valuing things like diversity, inclusion, equality.

The drop-off in applications has had a corrosive effect on the college's reputation and standards. In 2012, Wheaton accepted 66% of applicants,
58% of whom were in the top 10% of their high school class; by 2021, Wheaton accepted 85% of applicants, 49% of whom were in the top 10%. In 2024, the acceptance rate reached 88%. This trend cannot be accounted for by the demographic cliff alone. Wheaton is not giving parents and prospective students a compelling reason to select Wheaton over its alternatives.
