@oantolin Blew my mind 🤯 . The most interesting result is that the frame rate cost of SVG rendering scales with pixels. So for things like svg-line, svg-margin, and hatti where the images are tiny, Emacs works. I'm doing more experiments with full-frame animations. I'm predicting ~30fps frame […]

@oantolin It’s making me think about where else svgs can be applied. The performance is also amazing and you can use it to animate things which I’m excited to do experiments on. I ran a benchmark today and SVGs can play at over 200 fps which is so wild. I’m going to write a post later this week […]

It often happens that I discover some minor annoyance in #Emacs while I'm working. I try to resist the temptation to drop everything and fix it right then and there, and instead make a note (either mental or in my #OrgMode files) to come back and fix it later. One problem I had noticed is that […]

@oantolin 😂 . I've been trying to put some linguistic eye-grabbers in my posts recently. I read this phrase in a book once, can't remember where, but I loved that phrase. The idea is it's basically 0 work, but I love the juxtaposition of 'astronomical' and 'close to 0'. Sort of brings you out […]

@oantolin 2: I'd say if you read your PDFs mostly within Emacs, org-noter is the better tool. I'd say my personal handling of PDFs is a little niche. But you are correct in that you can get an org-remark like experience with org-noter. In fact org-noter is likely more similar to the org-remark […]

@oantolin I agree, I think of org-noter as being analogous to org-remark, although I don't use it. org-noter is a great package, but my problem with it is that the org-noter highlights, IIRC, are not embedded in the PDF, which is important to me. I mostly read PDFs on mobile (tablet and phone) […]
