Hell yeah! Love me some SFX. Just a bit of feedback, I think the high pitched sound that presumably plays when the player discovers tiles? (not quite sure what exactly is triggering it) is a little too piercing. You might want to consider using a softer sound for that specific noise :)

I think it's already pretty good, especially the background is absolutely gorgeous. The only critique I have is that the tileset might be a little repetitive, perhaps sprinkle in some variations of specific tiles. Or you could experiment with more background and perhaps even foreground elements!

Game jams are so funny to me. I spend a ridiculously short amount of time making a game that, most of the time, I think is absolutely terrible, submit it anyway, and then people are like, "wow this is so fun you're cool :)". Heartwarming.

Obsession is one of the best films I've seen in a decade. Like Backrooms, it's a media literacy test and I find it remarkable how many people mistake the protagonist's perspective for the film's moral perspective. If you come away sympathizing with Bear, you may want to shut up. - #obsession

Have you tried any of the modifiers that make the game easier? I can see the game feeling frustrating and odd at first and I think that might be because it's so weirdly unique, there truly is nothing like it. The controls took some getting used to for me as well. I think it gets better later on!

After giving it some thought, if the movie was simply called The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 I think I wouldn't be as disappointed. It specifying on Galaxy makes no sense. This is not a Galaxy movie.
