More than 2,000 proactive rezonings approved by City Council today are bringing land use predictability & improved investment opportunities to commercial corridor properties on the North and South Side. Part of a year-long rezoning initiative impacting nearly 5k parcels to date!

Plan Commission approved a proposed 36-story mixed-use building at 1600 N. LaSalle Drive in Lincoln Park. Led by Fern Hill Cos., the project includes 349 mixed-income apartments and ground-floor retail space.

The Loop's Rector Building, 79 W. Monroe St., received a preliminary landmark recommendation from the Landmarks Commission today. Built in 1905 with a 1923 addition, the Jarvis Hunt-designed building combines classical details with modernist Prairie School elements.
