Cosplay alterations for our well-being! There are many ways that people alter their cosplays to ensure they stay comfortable and safe. These are just a few that come up for me. I think this is an important topic to talk about— what are some ways that you alter your cosplays? #cosplay #cosplayer

Cosplay can be uncomfortable, often because the characters were trying to embody AREN’T REAL. But as real people, our safety and confidence matter and don’t need to be compromised to enjoy our hobby.

As a trans person, alterations can help alleviate dysphoria and break limitations on how you are able to be in your body.

Before chest surgery, for me, this meant extending fabric for tops and scarfs so my chest could be bound and covered.

Body image is something many of us struggle with, myself included!

Cosplaying a character with an exposed tummy but aren’t feeling it? Using self-cling tape or a wide sash around your midsection is a great and in-universe addition!
