Chiteni is pretty tall to average for a guy miqo'te. He doesn't know many so it isn't a comparison he gets to make often until he meets G'raha! But he was raised around au ra and elezen who tend to dwarf him, so he's spent a lot of his time working on things he CAN control like his strength & speed.

But I do think that key aspects of who you are would still shine through. The last parts of you to go. Dogged determination, that tenacity, that self-loathing, the love for your friends - things of that nature would remain. That's what keeps him going. Broad strokes. The biggest parts of himself.

It would be hard to watch the *personality* of someone you care about slowly shift - and that doesn't even touch on any aspects of the physical manifestation of any transformation. Being altered at your core is monstrous enough. Being forced to unbecome yourself would be a terrible burden.

I always saw it as a weakening sort've power. Light is the power of stasis after all; so he would get more tired, less effective at reacting in a fight, maybe short and irritable like someone lacking sleep. He'd swing from points of clarity to points of forgetfulness.

I always saw it as sort've involuntary. 'That's just what he'd do' bc ofc he would. Chiteni doesn't put much value into his own life bc he doesn't feel like anyone EVER has. If he made things about himself, it just wouldn't be in character for him. Doesn't matter if it hurts. Or if it's scary.

A lot of us seem bubbly & extroverted but the truth is just that sometimes we are safer in our lives if we speak MORE than if we speak less. We can learn opposing lessons & still be maladjusted for the same reasons. We're still introverted, our masks are just being held up to protect us. Same as you

Different ways of masking just aren't talked about that much. It's usually a 'one size fits all' sort've situation where neurodivergent ppl are categorized as shy and undersocialized. I AM shy. I WONT start the convo. Bc I know I'm too much. But if you start it you may as well have signed a waiver.

Not usually a fan of accts like this but we only ever center on neurodivergence where ppl are shy and act shy. We rarely brush on those of us who mask by trying VERY HARD to camouflage as 'socially adept' when in truth we go a little too hard and that also weirds ppl out LOL

Used to drive my dad's spare truck when I got my license. I bought a really nice ice scraper for the windshield and a can of ice solvent (to soften ice) bc it was a p bad winter. My dad stole both. Said they had always been his. Anyway I bought a pink ice scraper after that. Still got it 16yrs on.

A few months ago I got to design the staff t-shirt for The Hobbit x MTG! I relished painting some of the pivotal characters and elements of the story. The stylization is inspired by Tolkien's own paintings, and I wanted it to look as though Bilbo had drawn these things in his book.

It isn't entirely wrong to wish all the bad things away. To imagine how your life could have been. Once upon a time. But if you get too lost in those woods, you end up hurting the ppl around you who are simply happy to have gotten to know you, and he is actively acknowledging of that.

He is consciously aware of his happiness and support. Of the love of his friends and of the difference he has made to people. He largely would not wish to forget the things that brought him here, no. But sometimes he selfishly dreams of a quieter life where none of it happened.

Honestly I want to say 'everything' but I just didn't write him to be that kind've person, exactly. I don't think the sadness and pain he's been through are experiences he would entirely wish away, bc theyve brought him to where he is NOW. But he used to want that. A quiet, tiny part still does.

It’s for trans men/boys who are unable to access transition for whatever reason. Financial, safety, etc. There isn’t anything wrong with the messaging. Besides, social transition is usually the first step toward medical transition anyway. Trans people deserve support on all steps of the journey.
