My healthcare situation is only going to improve from Oregon to Oklahoma, and I'll have a more readily available support network. There are already career opportunities out here in the writing space that won't compete with my dayjob (which I value and very much want to keep.)

But I am 38 years old and I'm at the kind of weight where 40 looks more and more like a landmine. Medical professionals I've seen have agreed intervention is necessary to really make progress. Moreover, I've been taking care of 2-3 adults (two for most of it, three as of late) on a $45k/yr income.

cw: pet loss I had to say goodbye to my cat Saber today after 6 six years of owning her. She developed some severe infections due to a flea problem that we didn't catch in time. I loved her more than I've ever loved any pet and I'm gutted straight through.
