Things I learned how to do in 2026: a 3x3 Rubik’s cube I’ve memorized how to solve one, probably takes me like 4 minutes but I’m proud of myself. It’s honestly a lot simpler than I thought but I still need to study more of the thoughts behind the moves

How do celebrities who stay silent or remain ”apolitical” feel when they see outspoken celebrities be praised for their activism and actually take a stand? Like that must be weird for them bc they justify it by saying “my art isn’t political” or “what abt my money tho”

Remember when we all thought Taylor was growing as a serious artist when she released the ten minute version of all too well (well I guess some of us thought that). Yeah that’s over now lol. Like six feet under

The way this title was written I thought they meant like the fall season as in people are rewatching these four shows to start their fall season

One thing I like about mad men is that a lot of the actresses all have their original teeth

Do Brazilian artists who do forró cover songs have to pay royalties? Like halo by Beyoncé, umbrella by Rihanna and like a prayer by Madonna all have Brazilian forró versions and I wonder what are the copyright deals behind those?

Weird out of place song lyrics: Brandon urie high hopes “manifest destiny back in the day we wanted everything” Ludacris baby “when I see her on the street or at school on the play ground”

060

Cheyenne Lin @cheyennelin.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

I read Ed’s statement. Probably the worst statement he could put out honestly. But I do think this is a watershed moment in that celebrities who continue to choose silence are by default complicit. It’s pressuring people to take a side bc you can’t stay neutral at a time of injustice

Does anyone know if Bear in obsession is nick named that bc of the “bear or man” meme thing? Like would you rather be with a man or a bear?

Sad and disturbing to see people wearing AI images on their bodies in the form of fast fashion t shirts, people forced to live next to data centers, billionaires hoarding piles of money while what’s left of the “middle” gets to buy the newest iPhone and call that freedom 🫩

Meme of Patrick star from SpongeBob saying “why don’t we take AI and push it off a cliff?”

Obsession and sinners proving that horror is the genre to tackle nuanced themes. I think they do that so well because by virtue of the genre they don’t fall into being melodramatic and can have elements of fantasy without it being like a fantasy movie?

With planned obsolescence product designers and workers are not encouraged to innovate and make more durable lasting designs but rather are incentivated to make faulty products that the consumer will need to constantly rebuy. So much for capitalism breeds innovation

Strange thing about AI (among other things) is that it’s a tech innovation that you cannot own. You just subscribe to it. Unlike other innovations that you physically owned in the past, like Adobe products or other software, AI has never been in a stage where you can own it. It’s just pay to play

Most tv subreddits are impossible, mad men is definitely one of the worst ones… tho idk if that’s the shows fault for not showing the characters as explicitly bad. Tho I can get that can be the whole point - anti heroes and all that - knowing the show runner is a bad person doesn’t help
