I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with shooting for the stars when it comes to setting goals like that. Just gotta be careful with the ultimatums you set as well. I think having a high expectation for yourself will push you far, and from what I'm hearing, it certainly has for you.

I ended up making it. I sequenced 57 photos of a 120mm white phosphorus shell air bursting. Naturally, I had to time it with a trap beat. Images were captured with a Nikon Z8 and a NIKKOR 70-200mm f2.8 S and a 2× teleconverter. #Photography #military #timelapse youtube.com/shorts/auH7A...

Got something cool to hook up to my camera. Basically, it's an interface that allows my camera lens to see through night vision. For a few reasons, I can't get it to mount properly, but I can get it to about 75% effectiveness. I'll have to buy my own soon. #photography #night #nikon

The RB15s are weird and intimidating to learn in comparison to everything else the Viggen can use. I used the RB04 for the longest time until I noticed that the 15 has some serious range.

I'm actually a huge fan of Mavericks and the antiship missiles. I've actually done a few successful SEAD missions with the Mavericks. Also, I found the RB15 antiship missile to be really cool once I figured it out. It uses up to 8 waypoints.

I got pretty fast at setting them up in the computer. Binding it to your numpad is a must. Otherwise, you can label markers on the F10 map with comments like "b3" or "m2", and then load that specific data cartridge using the kneeboard. Makes it a lot faster.

I have not. I've heard great things about it.

No video progress tonight, but some upcoming travel forced me to get a laptop so I can keep making content. It's a fantastic computer, but it needed some upgrades. It's a bit overkill, but it's actually a bit faster than my primary computer after the upgrade! Also, it did spark at me. A bit spooky

Something that I think about often is what one of my squad leaders in the Army said to me and the rest of the squad a few years back. After introductions, he was giving us a breakdown of his expectations. It went from "don't drink and drive" to "If you hurt a woman, you will be in a closed casket."
