Everyone needs to stay on the treadmill of production, because those treadmills are powering data centers and without data centers civilization collapses. Just above this story, in my feed, some Meta executive opined that workers need to use AI to work harder, not take more time off.

He clearly had some lucrative side hustles, as did his wife of many years. Oddly, this explanation does not seem to work when the person in question is a registered Democrat and Republicans need a talking point.

People are SO SCARED of strangers hurting them or their kids, but the data consistently supports that it’s far more likely to be a friend or family member. Most mass shootings are at private residences. Only a quarter of kidnappings are strangers.

Thinkmaxxing book: Critical thinking and science literacy need to be trending, And, you need them to pick out good advice from bad. The same applies to health, relationships, career planning, personal finance, voting, & so on. But you might need a handy little no-fluff guide. Right?

Does it make sense for top American politicians to tell the Pope he isn't Pope-ing right? It does when you think of religion as a tool for power and social control. I'm not saying that's what religions are really for, just how some Big Shots use it.

I wonder if groupthink played a role in where we are with Iran. A group of top administration people agreed that we could (really and truly!) knock out Iran's regime, terminate the ballistic missle threat, and get their enriched uranium. Oh, and there would be minimal political & economic fallout.
