So I've dug ears deep into my redeem system... especially the "Give EXP!". It was a big mess of a node graph and every addition I had make jumbled the proof-of-concept style setup even more. Rebuilt from the ground up there's been some improvements and fun upgrades! (pic for attention / example)

I have redesigned the bumper from scratch now in CAD software, calculated tolerances and made several iterations to make it much better. Everything fits neatly and is aligned properly, you can see the new version sitting on the desk in front of the cab [5/6]

It has sat on a shelf for a long while in a smokers house so it's getting a good clean-up. As well as fixing some issues, the bumper was not a great quality and tore during assembly. At the end of the event I tried to disassemble it and the beams broke off completely [4/6]

The motor inside was upgraded to a carson poison so it has more torque and drives slower and more controlled. It ran on a GT Power Truck and Sound Module which is now being replaced with a Beier SFR-1 as the other module is glitching out on the sounds. [3/6]

Fighting with the printer to get it to cooperate this was one of the few prints we managed to get out of the Anet A8 (which was a bad buy tbh). All of bodywork has and paint been done by someone else to make it all fit and also adjustments to my bumper design to have a bullbar [2/2]

Had a great day yesterday, went to the DAF museum. Saw a lot of pretty things and got to get up close and personal with DAF "The Bull", one of my favorite vehicles from the DAKAR. As well as seeing some nice RC models to give me inspiration to carry on building my own!

"But Cherry what are you printing now?" Just some QoL stuff for RC truck building. An axle stand to lift the truck off it's wheels so I can work on it and possible debug some electronics without having to fear it will race off the table. This one is for unpowered axles like steering or lift axles

So little update. Somewhere during the night the printer pulled over a support and fucked up yet another print. Giving it a 100% failure rate on printing RC parts with PETG. Aside from that the bed level probe somehow got stuck and it's now a brick...
