Tonight we all logged onto Big Walk with the express intent to lock ourselves in a room for 30 minutes and work on art while we were in there. Here’s what I made in that time.

A Big Walk character with a dark blue-green head, black body and dark green legs. They are seated on the ground, cross-legged while wearing a whiteboard in their backpack. They are sleeping and someone has written “kick me” on the whiteboard.

It is a portrait of the host of the lobby who booted the game so we could go hang in the room and do nothing for 30 minutes but hey we’re doing nothing anyway so we brought their idle character with us.

Happy Raiders day! I started this artwork with the plan to create a sticker of the Mechanic, and then somehow it turned into a whole print design! #splatoon #splatoonRaiders

Made a rigid heddle loom this week! My first time cutting 6mm MDF on my laser cutter. Ostensibly this is for my husband, who has been getting into fibre crafts. Design and plans from www.instructables.com/DIY-Laser-Cu...

Cradled in the middle is the heddle block - made from a sandwiching together of MDF and clear acrylic. I also tried making plaster moulds! I 3D printed forms and made plaster moulds from them. Then I poured slip into the moulds! I want to eventually try doing a mould for a D20 teapot, so I started with a lid. My plaster was 30 year old plaster of Paris - I’ll try with proper plaster in the future.

Between sessions, I worked on tools and other experiments to streamline my making. I made a triangle cookie cutter and a bevel tool that cuts the angles for piecing together the icosahedron teapot.

I signed up to some pottery sessions as a birthday present to myself. One of the projects I worked on was an icosahedron teapot!

I painted Se-Jun Park's Worlds winning team for an art exhibition! "Caught 'em All" is running at Working Title Brew Co. in Brisbane throughout February, celebrating 30 years of Pokémon!

Flutter mane family. Design is mostly done! Colours will still be adjusted and I need to order beads (I use spare parts for these prototypes and I juuuust barely had enough red-ish beads for two of the three)
