I feel I want to move to a different country for the rest of my life Probably AUS/NZ/the EU... But man to pivot at this point is quite hard... But yeah

For awhile, I was keeping my laptop cover clear because the sparkly rubber was cool as fuck. Then this one time in Iceland, people put stickers on the wrong laptop and I just rolled with it. Now it's a canvas of rad people and memories that keeps on growing. #furry

guys, as I've said before, mean a lot to me and I try my best to nurture the atmosphere where you're free to contact me whenever; that it's never an inconvenience to ask about the progress of a commission, even if very little has been accomplished. The truth of the matter is that all I draw are

one of the hardest things about art, is that. I don't really have the emotional or physical energy to focus on improvement and studies like I used to. It's just working on commissions and giving them the best I can do with the skills I have now- -none of this is a slight against my clients; you

My opinion on zoo's is complicated, but there's no denying the Joburg one has its moments.

Springbok graze on a lawn in the foreground, with the suburbs of Westcliff in the midground, and some of the Johannesburg skyline in the background, including Hillbrow Tower. The foliage is extra lush after a rainy start to spring.

Got a PDMOVIE lidar auto focus motor... and the E-Mount communication thingy should be shipping next month. The lidar is pretty good in this case. Need further calibration tho, and a lens too bright can limit its use (it's always a bit wrong), but it's good enough for doing action shot selfies

My Williams, Brown & Earle was not very sharp, and bloomed. And #Petzval is normally sharp in the centre. So I checked: either I, or the previous owner had the rear lens group placed incorrectly. Wrong order and wrong orientation. So, if you ever reassemble one, this is correct:

I fucking love 3D printing. 24 hours ago this piece of tabletop sci-fi scatter terrain was just a sketch on my iPad. And now I'm running off the parts for a whole set to paint up.

A eight sided shipping container printed at such a scale as to sit under my PC monitor. A Blkout mini uses it as cover for context

Ah so I have been shooting my pictures with dynamic range optimizer set to 3 for JPGs... the outcome together with the film sim is quite exceptional... I should utilize more of these camera built-in features

Demosaic algorithm is also very different and I prefer much more the camera direct one (I also tried LPF in the RAW editor, different algo etc etc, still can't get rid of those color banding) The one on the left is camera direct JPG

Wu Yiming ✅ Use OurPaint @chengdulittlea.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

It's also very apparent with those most faint hair strands, the camera direct output is so much smoother, while they are barely visible after i tried as much as possible in RAW editors.

Wu Yiming ✅ Use OurPaint @chengdulittlea.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

The image processor in the camera is doing a lot of magic... If you look at the hair, the JPG coming directly out of the camera (left) is much more defined, with lumps visible with depth. With the RAW data and processed, no matter how I do it, it's not even close

sometimes it feels like a lot of normal people conceptualize an "artist" as a superposition of both A. a super wealthy fine art elite who does low effort abstract art nobody understands B. someone magically born with the art talent gene even though A is 0.000001% of artists and B is not a thing
