We're trying our best, but things will take longer right now. Give grace. 20790181510

Mj Riches @chemj.bsky.social · 01/02/2025This week has been a doozy, so I'll jump in and thank my advisor @chemdelphine.bsky.social and my colleagues for hearing me out and helping me up. Accountability all the way! 140
Mj Riches @chemj.bsky.social · 31/01/2025In case anyone's wondering what it's like to be an #NSF postdoc today. Like most people, we need to pay for rent, insurance, and groceries. Many of us also have student loans, phone bills, and car payments. At this point, we don't know when we will get our paychecks. 020
Mj Riches @chemj.bsky.social · 31/01/2025This week, my science pen-pal opened my letter answering her questions- how much do I get paid, how did I get funded (#NSF), what it looks like to be a scientist. I didn't think that three weeks after writing my response, those answers may no longer be valid. [Sketch of a scientist in the field] 050
