En cualquier caso, está ahora por menos de 5€ y es el tipo de propuesta que encaja bien como acompañamiento a una pausa un poco larga para tomar un refrigerio. Está hecho en Godot y es la primera propuesta en firme de su solo dev así que, why not?

Correcto sin alardes, todo se condensa en muy poco espacio, es bastante intuitivo avanzar y la historia se queda en tierra de nadie. Tampoco hay un listado amplio de líneas de diálogo por escena y, salvo en una ocasión suelta donde coquetea con la ambigüedad de 2 personajes, se avanza sin problema.

Jugado The Bird of the North, una aventura de investigación cortita, de un par de horas, que se inspira mucho en las escenas de Return of the Obra Dinn. Es una experiencia muy casual. El gimmick aquí está en elegir correctamente líneas de diálogo entre un listado propuesto y asignarlas a personajes.

El problema es que, para llegar ahí, es probable que te hayas cansado por el camino o que hayas tenido suficiente. Probablemente lo más recomendable es intercalar carrera normal con su B-side correspondiente para evitar cierto sentimiento de intrascendencia en el último tercio del juego.

I'm done con Vholume. Ha merecido la pena forzar la maquinaria un poco más para desbloquear y jugar todas las B-side, una suerte de rutas alternativas desbloqueables vía coleccionable en cada nivel principal. Es un juego de parkour tirando a mid+ en esencia y con cositas interesantes en sus B-side.

Juntando todo he pensado mucho en lo excelente que es el planteamiento del Furi de Game Bakers. Boss rush sin aditivos, muy puro. Probablemente Onimusha habría sido un mejor juego así, pero también, supongo, hay que sacar partido a lo bien que adapta Capcom las animaciones y assets de sus juegos.

A pesar, claro, de la repetición y el reciclaje. En ese aspecto, venir de Monster Hunter ayuda a relativizar: una puesta en escena impactante, pero enjuagar y repetir, siempre repetir, es la fórmula del éxito. También es difícil recomendar abiertamente Onimusha porque, sí, aprieta en algunos puntos.

Ayer terminé Onimusha: Way of the Sword que me ha dejado buen sabor de boca. Es un juego que suple bien sus carencias con una puesta en escena fantástica; es increíble que, tras +30h, se puedan ver animaciones nuevas contra enemigos comunes o que el game feel siga siendo gustoso a la milésima vez.

La única pega que le pongo al juego es que un bug me crasheó en el clímax y tuve que elegir un final distinto al que quería, lo que justifiqué en mi cabeza como un capricho de un destino que me deparaba otra cosa (aunque estaría fetén que lo arreglaran tras acabar con el juego nuevo y descansen)

Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood es el ejemplo perfecto de juegos que dejan espacio al jugador a crear sus propias historias y rellenar huecos mediante elecciones reflexivas y narración "nodal", impresionista, incompleta. Es muy, muy bueno.

Some people are interpreting this post uncharitably imo. Most of the game dev layoffs have happened in the most expensive areas, salary/cost of living-wise (US/Canada/UK/some Euro zone countries). I was not making a dig at Japanese game dev.
