Childhood is when you think that Kamen Rider Black is the coolest motherfucker in existence. Adulthood is when you realize that Kamen Rider Black is the coolest motherfucker in existence, that's it, there's nothing much you can do.

Low turn out at board game night tonight but there were some people in another area of the store running a RPG oneshot fighting "Actual Cannibal Shia Labeouf" so that's something.

The film is written, directed, and co-stars Hitoshi Ozawa, a legendary Yakuza actor who is a villain in Yakuza 0, who got his fellow legends involved. This was his passion project inspired by one of his best friends, a trans woman, and he worked with the community for representative casting.

Magic Pre-release night went great! I wasn't really impressed with my deck since it wasn't really playing into its archetype but I went 3-0! I swear two of my opponents were running better versions of the deck I put together but I won so I suppose that contradicts that position, doesn't it?

So THAT's the name of that show that keeps showing up on your timeline. I'll have to look into it before watching the video though.

Well Damn. Nineteen years later and Darths and Droids, a Star Wars D&D themed photocomic is finally coming to an end. Adapted all the mainline movies too. It's always a weird feeling when a project you've followed for so long finishes. www.darthsanddroids.net

Great little metroidvania. And nearly free if you buy the bundle of it and Momodora: Moonlit Farewell (the fifth and final one) The first two Momodora games are free and on Itch, the third is on Itch and Steam for $2.

I was talking with a friend/coworker about this! Supposedly you can just go and buy them for like $2.50?

It's funny, I had kind of wanted to pick up the last Hololive English concert DVD (not out yet) because people retire a lot in that field and I wanted a memento of everyone before a potential end of an era. Then the era ended within the week. Guess I should double down on that plan.

Cheesy McDamnYou @cheesymcdamnyou.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

The theory is supposed to be more joint marketing of all three branches to each others audiences and no longer needing to get three separate licenses for streaming/concerts. The concern is the group identities of the original branches being removed and everyone shifted away from their core audience

Cheesy McDamnYou @cheesymcdamnyou.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Item 2: Merger of the Hololive vtuber branches. While potentially freeing up resources on the corporate end, when a rival company did this it seemed to have led to mass resignations of the talent due to most of the support shifting to the Japan branch over other countries.

Cheesy McDamnYou @cheesymcdamnyou.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Item 1: Shoutfactory is presumed to have let the streaming license for Kamen Rider Zeztz expire. This was the first big push in recent history to market the series outside of Japan and as of this morning all of it has been removed from Youtube. I kept up with it Live but feels like a bad sign.

Part 5 was really good! It goes more with long form stories instead of strictly episodic but also seems like it takes itself just a touch more seriously with it.

Saw a mouse in the stairwell when I took out the trash. Seemed fairly small and a tiny part of my brain was saying I could probably catch and release it. The wiser part of my brain doesn't want to play the "did you just get rabies?" game and said leave it to find it's own way back out again.

Old enough to remember when Touhou was a major cornerstone of online culture. This is a "man, time sure has passed" post. If younger people want to get into Touhou, more power to them.

Saw Spider-man last night and while I know it's normal, it's still pretty funny to see the New York movie set in New York and then a million "filmed in Canada" items in the end credits.

Mistborn is the one that got my entire friend group reading him and comes with the benefit of sequels should you be so inclined. Of his recent stand alone stuff Tress of the Emerald Sea has a bit of a fairy tale vibe and Yumi and the Nightmare Painter is a favorite.

They do seem have somewhat large save sizes though (380 kb, my how times have changed) so I will need to clear some old save files off my memory card. Probably Ratchet and Clank 2/3. They're comparable sizes and if I'm going back to those it would likely be a restart anyway.

The RPG's had been something I looked for back in the PS2 days that never seemed to have been in stock anywhere. As luck would have it, someone I follow here reposted a store's restock post with them in it. Lucky me! They passed initial "does it work" inspection but will be backlogged for a bit.

Yeah not really feeling anything from the Avengers: Doomsday trailer. It's been over seven years, I've sat out of most of the MCU releases since. This doesn't seem like something that's going to bring me back in. Kind of feels like they're trying to do Infinity War without an Avengers 1.
