I was in a video call with my mother so she could see her grandson and she started defending JK Rowlings stance on trans folk and then said she had a woman’s meeting where a trans lady showed up and my mother thought she should be there. She doesn’t know that I am trans

I was super nervous going to my appointment today as the state I live in doesn’t like transgender folks too much. But my doctor was absolutely wonderful and I have a referral to an endocrinologist to start hormones. I’m excited, scared, and relieved all at once today was emotionally exhausting.
