Just realized that I've neglected posting my FOs since a new puppy arrived...I guess I'll share one at a time as I manage to get photos together! Anyhow, here's my first smock. Love it, would put in more buttons if I did it again. #knitsky

Last week's #showmeyourknits was #wips and I only had one to show. This week I have three (incl. last week's project) and all of them at #textures and perfect for this week's theme.

The beginnings of a textured stripe sweater in off white. I'm using Drops Safran and Drops Belle held double.

A ball of Drops Andes in maroon on a fly wheel, with the textured sweater - still on thick needles - behind it, and a cup of coffee (and the back of a Viking Age replica helm in the background). The sweater will be similar to a Novita Hedda sweater, but I can't get Novita yarn where I live, so I went with Andes in its place.

I actually only have one #WIP for #showmeyourknits this week, but since new yarn just arrived, that's about to change! I'm learning how to knit a one piece hoodie but from sleeve to sleeve, a different construction technique for me!

A work in progress! The yarn in this photo is olive drab and taupe to almost lime green and the photo shows how I've knitted 1.5 fronts, 3/4 of the back and one sleeve on needles 4. The next part (the rest of the side/back and the sleeve) will take forever, then I'll learn to make the hood.

Arguably the worst photo of my new favourite top...it's actually really cute! Self-drafted in Drops Paris. Turns out I don't do a lot of #stripes, but hey, here it is for #showmeyourknits.

Striped summer top knitted up in cotton yarn in three colours: pistachio, powder blue, and white. The top is sleeveless and slightly turned in at the waist and features a rib knit trim around the neckline.

These #showmeyourknits #WIP ...s... will become a hoodie and a scarf to go with it. The hoodie is knitted in one piece starting at the sleeve cuff, which is a new to me construction so using cheap no name yarn to get the hang of the technique. The scarf is alpaca boucle from though! #knitsky

#MeMadeMay is new to me, but here goes: I may have over-estimated how much yarn to buy for this self-drafted top...enough stash to make accessories and embroider the fingerless gloves later on. Oh, plus include some in a crochet flower hexagon blanket!

Knitted socks in red tones made with Regia yarn by Arne & Carlos, striped leggings in blue and green tones, also Arne & Carlos sock yarn. Blue knitted cotton skirt with crochet scalloped trim and two stripes in blue. No idea what the yarn is...it was gifted...but the stripes and trim are the same yarns as the leggings. I-cord drawstring at waist.

My husband asked me to make a small and soft blanket for a preemie. Dad loves red, so red it is! Now we are keeping fingers and toes crossed that the little guy grows and thrives and can go home from the #NICU in a few weeks! #knitsky

#showmeyourknits this week is #colourwork. These are two of my more recent examples. My phone can't do the colours justice, though, so I've added a pic from the maker's website to show the blue...that's actually teal!

Sweater in burnt umber and teal (even though you can't tell!) made with three ply Järbo Svensk Ull.

A still unblocked yoke sweater, a Novita design called Lärka. Knitted in 2 shades of Drops Nepal and a grey Patons yarn, held with various Rowan kidsilk haze.

Soooo...I _had_ something #green to show for #showmeyourknits this week, but the yarn I knitted it in deserves something better! Frogged it and bought some local alpaca (and mud buttons!) to hold it double with. Cant wait to cast on!

I used to have a boss who couldn't admit she was unable to do something basic. So she lied about it. Then she made a bigger #lie to cover the smaller lie. The lies became ever bigger to #distract. Staff were blamed in the lie, then fired. All to cover up a tiny little thing. Sound familiar?
