I've still got my copies of Black Orchid signed by Dave McKean (and Neil Gaiman although we don't really mention him these days) from when Escape was in the Harris Arcade in the unit that is now Jim's and the military/model shop next door.

Neil was the owner of Escape, although his son (who got him into the comic shop business) might have been Andy?

Yes, I bought my first Ninja Turtles comics from the unit in the Traders arcade back in the mid 80s (that eventually became Escape)

Don't worry - I've been visiting Brian at Crunch pretty much since he opened (I'm going there in 10 minutes for this week's comics! ) But it doesn't mean I won't abuse FP's signings if/when they have them.

Not sure what went wrong with that picture - let's try again, hopefully without the black bar!

Heavy on the X titles this week. And Babs is sadly AWOL but hopefully will appear next week instead #ncbd @crunchcomics.bsky.social #marvelcomics #tmnt #imagecomics

Nothing at the new Reading branch which should be open by then (end of September I believe)?

So not as good as the first one then? Sounds like they thought "more is more" when the first film worked because it was so simple

Just 2 new comics today. And one of those is from last week #ncbd @crunchcomics.bsky.social #marvelcomics

Slim pickings this week, especially as Blade Runner is missing (no real surprise there!) #ncbd @crunchcomics.bsky.social #marvelcomics #transformers

Think it's more of a guest appearance as this is the last issue of Imperial Guardians (at least for the foreseeable future). He had his own 4 issue mini series about 5 years ago though.

New Asian Blu-Ray day from both @arrowvideo.bsky.social and @88films.bsky.social I live in hope that one day JVC will reinstate 3D to the more affordable end of their projector range so I can watch Magnificent Bodyguards properly - I'm not upgrading unless I can get all the features I want!

Saw the trailer for this yesterday when I went to see the Chinese film Cold War 1994 and thought it looked interesting. Might give it a watch when it's released properly.

Love that artwork. The UK quad poster that uses the same art is hard to find. And expensive. I have a US one sheet for part 2 but it's not as nice.

When I saw the trailer it screamed "straight to streaming". Which is where I shall watch it and will probably find it enjoyable enough.

Once again, 5 new comics. It's like the release schedule gods have got their act together. Apart from Titan comics whose latest Blade Runner issue is now 3 weeks late with no sign of it turning up any time soon. #ncbd @crunchcomics.bsky.social #marvelcomics #tmnt
