I hope that one of the silver linings in the energy crisis is going to be a larger emphasis on renewable energies and bike/pedestrian/tram first city designs going forward. It just sucks that it takes a retarded war that was never supposed to be started in the first place to spur on such change

Having almost arrived at our destination, Ostuni in Italy, after a 17 hour or so journey, I cannot express enough just how fucked the fuel prices are. We refueled twice, both times paying around 100€.

While it is frustrating to see companies cave to these regulations, they are most definitely not an enemy but also victims of "over legislation", lets say. I bet companies such as System76 or the Ubuntu maintainers have a hundred better things to do than adding age verification at the OS level

We are driving to italy for some weeks by car and it is incredible by how much Diesel prices have risen due to the unnecessary war with Iran. Some gas stations on the Autobahn sell Diesel for 2,70€ per litre! I really wonder how the prices will look like in Austria and Italy.
